[7.3/10] Good episode. The opening round-up had some good gags, though as I've said before, the "aren't local news anchors dumb around holidays" bit has gotten pretty stale.

The main story of Venezuela hit the right mix of funny and informative. I'll admit that I'm probably more receptive to the piece because I don't know much about Venezuela or its recent political history, so it was very educational for me in a way that may have been too reductive for others. Regardless, there were some particularly good instances of black humor here, between the Jim Jones joke and the OJ/Princess Di joke that, along with Oliver's assessment of a debate between a Bernie support and an Info Wars reporter as a microcosm of political discourse writ large, made for a very funny episode.

Wilmer Valderama didn't give the best performance as an advice-giving bird for Venezuela's President, but it was still a nicely loony end to the episode. Overall, a nice outing.
