Didn't expect The Kang Dynasty
To be honest, quite a weak beginning. I really would like to like this, but I feel like not much happened this episode, and Mark has still not been promoted from his position of the token punching bag. The start of the episode was great with the introduction of alternate Mark's but then the episode decided to slow wayyyy the fuck down. The very end was fine, but again it felt like 10% of the episode, the beginning another 10%, and the rest was not so important to moving the story forward. Oh and now the girlfriend is suddenly all gung ho about their relationship after all the shit from last season, maybe they're trying to paint her as a better person now lol. I hope the show takes off after this, but poor beginning for a new season after over two years, and seemingly we're not even getting a full season.
Good episode that really shined through Mark and Debbie’s trauma from the whole situation. I was worried the dimension thing would be bad, but it could be interesting to see how that all works. I just don’t like having multiple of the same character so hopefully it doesn’t become too grand. They were really teasing that title card all the way too :joy:
40 days to go. Cannot wait. But i am going to wait for christmas. Its going to be excruciatingly painful. It will take all my strength and grit. But i will binge watch this mf.
Letsss goooo go go go
Great season start. Let’s see what is coming next. :eyes:
Slow start but comes together well by the end.
"Start your day with a hot BM!"
So, um, I guess they didn't decide to cut back on the gratuitous blood and gore in season two...
Damn, it's been a while! As usual, I am thankfully for the recap.
So, it looks like we are diving into some good old-fashioned "multiverse" shenanigans this season. Looks like the main antagonist is this Angstrom Levy fellow, who initially was trying to create a utopia by absorbing all of the knowledge from his counterparts from the different universes, but now everything is jumbled together and he wants revenge on Invincible. Because it turns out that in a lot of the universes, Mark actually joins Nolan and ends up taking over Earth. Even get a glimpse of that in the opening act, which is definitely disturbing. Good to know Omni-Man is a sociopath no matter what and J.K. Simmons knows how to bring it!
Imagine that the Immortal is going to end up being a problem since he seems suspicious of Mark still. I also got the sense that there will be a lot of pushback from the rest of the Guardians due to how he runs things. I wonder what is going to come of Bulletproof as well?
Poor Debbie really does need help. Hope she takes Olga's advice.
Cecil might not have actual ice powers, but he is always the chillest person in the room.
Voice acting was great as always. Sterling K. Brown will definitely be a great addition here!
So, is there only one Mauler left?
we are so backkkk for good!!!:heart::heart:
they will wage an unwinnable war this season, in the comics it happened later
angstrom utopian dream very quickly turned into trauma revenge on invincibles. oh its ON.
This is it guys, the best TV show in the universe has returned better than ever!!! I was tearing up for at least half the runtime lmao. I'm still a little disappointed that they didn't just release everything at once; I prefer to binge media I like. But regardless, I cannot wait to spend the rest of the week watching reactions until episode 2 comes out!

Baiting the title card showing up until the very end is actually maybe the funniest thing any TV show has ever done
