Enjoying this so far, but is it set in the 50s or 60s? Chris Pine just looks like Chris Pine. Too scruffy for the 50s, not scruffy enough for the 60s . . .
I almost gave up on it after the first couple of episodes, but stuck it out and was rewarded with some better episodes in the later half of the run. Chris Pine was solid throughout, as was the young lady playing Fauna Hodel. Overall, I think my issues with it were largely due to a lack of pace, but that was remedied somewhat in the final few eps.
Looks promising. Will add to my watch list

Aside from shows/movies about the Vietnam War, nothing is as one-note, repetitive, and pointless as shows about the Black Dahlia Murders.
Without fail, they miss the imagery/clothing/language of the era, get sidetracked on literally anything else, and it just becomes a pointless mess. No thanks.
