7.5/10. Ted and Barney finding a porn star who uses Ted's name is one of those "just crazy enough to work" ideas for this show. It's a little out there and sitcommy, but the twist that it's actually someone who was trying to honor Ted was cute, and the group's reaction to the whole thing was classic.

Marshall's story was interesting, if only for the moral conundrum it put in him. Plus, John Cho was a pro as the head of the firm courting Marshall, and the job offer as seduction conceit worked well.

The thing that drags the episode down is the Lily story. The sudden shopaholic issue doesn't seem like the character we've known for 2 seasons, and while it dovetails in a somewhat interesting way with Marshall's decision, it makes the Lily character less likable without it feeling like a natural part of the personality the show had previously established, not to mention the fact that it's kind of stereotypical in way Lily hasn't been previously. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's a weak direction to take the character.

At least Marshall ended up taking the job despite Lily telling him to take the job at the NRDC and not telling him that it would be better for them financially if he went and worked at Nicholson, Hewitt and West. Good job, Jeff.
