7.5/10. The premise of the whole gang having to miss the Super Bowl and trying in vain to avoid the info so that they can watch the taping of the game unspoiled was a great one. It gave almost everyone something to do, with the highlight being Marshall's amusing tet-a-tet with a kindergartner. But everything from Ted's sensory deprivation adventures, to Barney's gambling addiction troubles (sans a wooden appearance from all-time great Emmitt Smith), to Robin's delightfully generic news reporting. Nothing so deep in this one, but a solid dose of funny, which, you know, is more than enough for a comedy.
