The show aired on March 31, 1991 and was hosted by Rex Murphy. Heritage Minutes was narrated and written by Patrick Wilson a Canadian broadcaster and produced by Robert Guy Scully

In 1919 women gained the right to run for Parliament, and Macphail was elected in 1921, the first federal election in which women had the vote.
