Aziraphale's idea is extra funny (lovely??) to me right now because I'm literally in the middle of re-reading Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen.
Also Shax is hilarious here — hilarious, of course, being spelled T-O-S-T-E.
That was the most awkward and most delightful ball, ever! Everyone was so charming and lovely. I can hardly believe they do not have any more source material to go on with, as this season is just as fun and entertaining as the first. My favourite episode of this second outing, so far. David Tennant and Jon Hamm are absolutely wonderful in this.
AHHH so much fun! A bevy of entertaining moments, and moves the plot along enough that I'm excited for the finale (?!) next episode…
"Why don't you stand up for yourself? Make your own plans?"
"Oh I am, but rescuing me makes him so happy."
The romcom episode of the season!!
I'm just going to say this - Crowley offering Jim hot chocolate justified the watch of the whole season for me.
No more flashbacks and finally something happens in the main story. And this is good.
The setting up of Hell's legion and the confrontation are real funny... until Maggie mess up (even if it's very expected).
Jim is still perfect in its role. Fun detail, in the beginning it seemed to be his amnesia, but after seeing them he actually behaves like an angel, even with their memory, would, just totally ignorant of anything on Earth. And the way no one acknowledges him thanks to the combined miracle still creates fun moments.
The ball is not bad either. It's weird and fun, the dance, the impossibility to say bad words. However, if you think about it, it's really having all the people under his control and puppeteering them. Controlling their movements, their words, and even if some are still a bit self aware, most do not look to be. It's probably by far the most evil thing Aziraphale has ever done, but it doesn't even begin to dawn on him, and is certainly not presented this way, but still...
An episode that allows Aziraphale to shine a bit more compared to Crowley (because let's be honest, he's the one who steals the show 90% of the time).
Okay, I think it's all coming together now.`Don't get me wrong I haven't hated the last fw episodes but the plot felt unfocused and streched thin. The extended flashback sequences didn't help.
