I guess Juno Temple will carry this season then, but so far I only liked the lights and compositions
Fargo is back baby! A strong season opener with a very interesting lead character in Dot. can't wait to see it unfold.... okay then!
The stupidest cliche that they keep using over and over again = knocked out whoever tries to kill you, only didn't actually kill him but left to do something else only came back and he was gone!!!
I never knew I wanted a combination between No Country for Old Men and Home Alone until now . What a fantastic first episode. Loved Juno Temple in Ted Lasso and loved her in this first episode.
This was a fantastic episode. Way better than anything in what was an awful season 4. Excited to see where this goes.
LMAO with that airhorn. Oh man that was gold.
I'll see how this all pans out but this is easily the worst season premiere of Fargo. This first episode has me worried this season is going to focus on plot more than commentary/allegory. Something about this feels fan-made or something idk. I'm probably being too harsh after one episode but the previous four seasons have all been different from one another which is why the anthology thing works so well. This feels like a rehash. Also I hate the lighting.
Stand in the open under a light, so you dont see anything and everyone can see you. Smart thinking Mr Cop
Let's go, Officer Bishop!
I’m the only one who thought of the movie ‘Home Alone’?
Wow. Don Draper is back. I'm excited. Plus, Juno Temple has been saved from the innocuous mediocracy of an Apple+ show. Good. And immediately, after just a few scenes, the old Fargo vibe (mysterious, absurd and violent) from the earlier seasons and the movie are back. If you don't wonder why this woman is a master of self-defense and weaponry, and why Don Draper is in this show, I can't help you ...
Best scene: the laconic killing of the air horn boy
Yeah, that’s Fargo.
Just when I thought I was out,
they pulled me back in.
Thx
WOW Just another jaw dropping start
I enjoyed this a lot. Very much in the Fargo format.
Then I got a feeling of deja vu. There are so many parallels to the plot of "Who is Erin Carter?", the British Netflix show that came out in the summer.
Woman with daughter who has something dark in her past that seems to be catching up with her.
Action in a school.
Action in a store.
Hiding it all from her husband and family.
What are the chances of her finding an ally in law enforcement in the next episodes?
She goes back home and makes breakfast
what a show!
Some stupid decisions by the cop, like not drawing his gun when he saw a woman running with her hands tied, or standing without any cover.
Also, the accents are kinda distracting, even though they are a trademark of Fargo.

I really don't understand how all these commenters are loving it, so I think I'm in the minority here, but I really didn't like this. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come.
It feels like the director/writer is trying really hard to have "funny Coen Brothers moments", but it really isn't hitting the spot for me.
Like the guy with the airhorn. I'm sure it's supposed to be "wow haha didn't expect that", but it made no sense. No actual human being would do something like that after someone just shot up the front with an automatic rifle...
