A bug zapper appears in Kitchen. But it only works on flying bugs so providing a safety zone protecting Erky and Perky from Mad Margaret. However it does have some unfortunate side effects on Erky and Perky, and in the end they negotiate a truce with Mad Margaret whereby she agrees that from now on bugs will be free to eat food in the safety of their own homes.
Erky works out that the only reason Mad Margaret can boss them around is because she can fly. He is determined that he and Perky will learn to fly. Eventually they do take to the skies and engage Mad Margaret in a dog fight high above the floor of Kitchen.
A pot plant appears in Kitchen. Trouble is that it is omnivorous and eats bugs. Erky and Perky and company have to destroy the growing plant before it eats them.
Perky encounters a bug hanging upside down that convinces him being inverted is the way to rid him of hunger forever.
Erky and Perky discover a windup toy car in Kitchen. Now they no longer have to walk everywhere and can take other bugs for a drive.
Erky and Perky try to get into Mad Margaret's food store by hiding inside a minicupcake made of soap.
Against everyone's advice, Erky insists on eating a highly toxic crumb and ends up having a terrifying hallucinogenic experience.
Erky and Perky sign on for basic training to join a bug army. They are horrified to discover that being a soldier means having to go out to Garden and fight the Great Ant Hordes.
Erky and Perky discover a box of crumbs in the larder. Now they only have to get Perky slim enough so he can get inside.
Erky eats some slime from Moldy's stash. As a result he can, with Perky's help, "talk" with the noises emanating from his stomach. Erky and Perky pretend to be Mad Margaret's secret admirer in order to find out how to get into her food store.
Erky and Perky manage to get into the freezer at the top of the fridge in Kitchen. There they find frozen treasure that they take back to Herb Garden. Unfortunately, the block of ice doesn't contain food but a frozen bug who, once defrosted, causes havoc in Kitchen.
Kitchen is visited by two bugs from outer space who plan to kidnap Perky.
Cecil's gone missing. Erky and Perky take on the role of detectives to track him down.
Erky thinks he's found a terrific getrich scheme selling rides in dishwasher liquid bubbles until a rogue bubble steals his pile of crumbs.
Perky uses a play to successfully change Mad Margaret into a caring and loving ruler. But Erky undoes all Perky's good work when he casts Mad Margaret as a tyrant in his play.
When Mad Margaret sees Perky performing a series of apparent miracles in front of the other bugs, she challenges him to a "miracle shootout".
Erky and Perky discover a doll's house in Kitchen. They decide to move in. Unfortunately every other bug in Kitchen has the same idea.
When Mad Margaret goes away on holiday she leaves Perky in charge and he takes his responsibility very seriously indeed.
Erky and Perky acquire a box from Frenzel. Anything that's put in the box mysteriously disappears. Could this be the end for Mad Margaret?
Bugliebeard the Pirate sails into Kitchen. He's in search of treasure and the hoard in Mad Margaret's lair is too good to ignore. Erky and Perky join his scurvy crew
There's a tantalisingly large morsel of food stuck to the ceiling fan and not even Mad Margaret can get at it. It's going to take team effort. Somehow they have to get Perky onto the moving fan to retrieve the food. But is Mad Margaret to be trusted when she says she is going to share the proceeds of the expedition?
Mad Margaret is downed by a flyswatter. Erky and Perky discover that by moving her body and imitating her voice they can scam crumbs out of the other bugs. But Cecil is onto their tricks and Mad Margaret isn't so incapacitated as they think.
Erky and Perky discover that, thanks to a faulty microwave, they can make little jump backs in time and by so doing they can multiply their food. Unfortunately, in trying to avoid detection by Mad Margaret and Cecil, Erky and Perky overdo things and get thrown back all the way to Hotdog Stand. Will they be able to stop their earlier selves from making the mistake that landed them in Kitchen in the first place?
Perky has found a paddle whacker, a bat with a ball attached to it by a length of elastic. It happens that Perky is a natural at paddlewhacking. Moldy suggests he might even be able to beat Mad Margaret's Kitchen Record and claim the grand prize. Erky encourages Perky to go for it; the grand prize has got to be food. But Mad Margaret isn't going to allow our heroes to steal her glory that easily.
Erky falls into a popcorn maker and Perky accidentally turns it on. Luckily Erky is unharmed but suddenly the popcorn maker starts popping out hoards of Erky clones. After some confusion, Erky and Perky realise they finally have the bugpower to challenge Mad Margaret once and for all.
There's been a kids' party in the house but all that's left is one solitary balloon. Suspended from the bottom of the balloon is a basket full of cellophane wrapped candy. It's a race and a struggle as to whether Erky and Perky or Mad Margaret get to it first. Just as it appears Erky and Perky have won the day the balloon comes free and is caught in the breeze. It flies out of the window and eventually takes them all the way back to – Hotdog Stand. Home at last! But they've brought a nasty surprise with them.
