Possibly the best episode in years. At least since Heaven Sent.
Really wish we didn't know Simm was returning. Picked him out pretty early on only because I knew he was coming.
Fuck, now they brought in vegan SJW preaching as well. Worst season ever!
Wow. The combination of a rubbish episode with something complete unmissable! You don't get that often. Can't wait for next week...
Good Episode!
I really like Bill Potts, but I hope they don't Dues-Ex her back to life. I think there's more story to be mined by the doctor struggling with his failure to protect her.
Wow, this tells the origin story of the very first Cybermen! This is really exciting!!!
Great episode. A lot of things are happening in this episode, it's really emotional.
One can definetely feel that this is the penultimate finale of Steven Moffat's final series.
Initial reaction: I appreciate the way this story is told but was disappointed that the teasers shown the week before spoilt any surprises. what might have been :(. I felt like this could have worked better as a movie as it's so dense. it's reasonably tense, scary and emotional and could have been more so. not one for the kids. This episode rates high in this season but probably hinges on the next episode.
I absolutely love Missy and i can't get enough of her. I need MORE of her. More conversations with the doctor and more deeper dialogue. I just want more.
THE DOCTOR REGENERATING IN THE COLD OPEN.
I was absolutely floored with the John Simm master twist. I had absolutely no idea he would turn out to be that guy.
So this relates to the cyberman in the original series, which i haven't seen. Other than that, while i liked the time dilation and the cyberman stuff, there wasn't a lot of the latter, and not much interesting going on, with just the doctor explaining his plan and then getting in the lift, and Bill looking around and then cleaning floors for the most part. The beginning and end of the episode were the best parts.
Poor Bill, the new companion, trapped in the game of rehabilitation between the doctor and Missy. Another casualty of 12's compassion.
Her becoming a cyberman is one of the most tragic fates of a companion.
She wasn't even with the doctor for that long. Now will you believe me about the danger associated with 12?
He knew about the time dilation, yet was still so egotistical as to explain his plan and then go and get her, making her wait at least years. His ego demanding she wait for him, no matter what and no matter how long it takes.
I keep saying about the danger and liability of 12, and this proves it.
Not sure if that was pure genius or just another flop. Considering what the season has been, I'm not too optimistic for the second part of the episode.
Also... a gravity well strong enough to have relativistic effects, but it doesn't tear apart the ship, it doesn't even affect its artificial gravity in the slightest way? I guess they thought it was like super mega clever you know?, and just went for the idea without much thinking...
I was like hahaha this is the most boring episode AND THEN BILL POTTS IS THE FIRST CYBERMAN? WHAT? I'M CRYING???!!!
Certainly intrigued going in just based on the picture showing Missy AND the Master!
Best episode of the season maybe even of Capaldis entire run. Would have been even better had the trailers and ads not completly spoiled it.
I just hope the season finale will be on par with this episode.
Started well, but went down fairly quickly. The Doctor just didn't try anything against the blue skinned alien until a lot of time had passed. The sonic could have disabled his gun early on. At the very least he should have tried.
finally a good episode, really hated this season... hope they can keep it up for next week
Strong episode, but really let down by the last 20 minutes, when the reveal had been revealed in the trailer after the first episode. There was no shock here, lets hope we get alot more next week.
Finally the first good episode of the 10th series.
They ruined the original Cybermen by adding the modern clank. Other than that, great episode
wow, Awesome episode, Fortunately I did not see any spoiler hinting promo!
Solid like I like!
Welcome back! Misterious story sci-fi doctor who!

Probably my favorite episode of Capaldi's reign yet. Amazing from start to finish even if the promo I saw spoiled the ending.
