Wow Zari’s acting keeps improving each episode. For me Brandon Routh is the best actor in this series but in this episode Zari is almost as good which is nice haha
"This is the second worst attack of the clones I've seen."
I was so excited for an episode centered around Ava, and boy, did it deliver! I loved every single storyline. And there were so many hilarious moments, I think it might actually be one of the funniest episodes this season (which says a lot because every single episode makes me laugh). The golden sticker for the scene that made me cry with laughter goes to Damien and Nate's therapy session. I'm still giggling just thinking about it. Stuff like that can only work on a show as wacky and insane as LoT.
Well, the show and I definitely agree that Ava was created from the finest genes in existence. I mean, damn. And I definitely liked that Ava reacted very emotionally to finding out she was a clone (as I imagine we all would if we were ever in that position) and questioned her entire existence, but they didn't drag it out for too long and didn't make an annoying angstfest out of it. She believed what Sara told her, realized that she was different from all those mindless copies, and now my girls are working together to kick Rip's ass for hiding the truth. I guess you could say they're going to RIP him a new one, huh?
(I'll see myself out.)
Zari teaching (or trying to, I guess) Mick to use his totem was absolutely great as well. I love that they don't ignore her faith and talk about things like Ramadan or her not being allowed to eat pork. There are few Muslim main characters on TV, so I'm sure that there are many fans out there who are stoked to see themselves represented in Zari. I'm thrilled for them.
I feel kind of disappointed that they killed Kuasa. She had a lot more potential, and they never really used it. I guess they needed something to push Amaya over the edge.
Mick clearly having fun playing around with his totem's powers while "cooking" was one of the best scenes of the show. That chat between Damien and Nate was hilarious, Damien Darhk continues to be one of my favourite characters of the show, he's such a likeable villain!
I still feel LoT needs more Rip Hunter (things just seem unbalanced without him around), but this season has certainly been getting way better towards the end.
Lots of interesting plot developments in this one. The only filler story involved Zari trying to train Rory, and it's never been more obvious that the show really doesn't know what to do with those two characters. But the rest of the episode? Solid.
fuck Amaya and her pussy driven logic

Legends never disappoints and lives up to the hype. I was so looking forward to this episode. I can't believe how close we are to the end of the season. I thought the finale was next week, until I realized there are two episodes left. Imagine how happy I was. This is the only show in which I'm constantly asking for more episodes. None of them feel as fillers and all of them have great storylines, especially considering the amount of characters there are.
I loved that this episode was all about the importance of family and a sense of belonging. It eventually was gonna come up. Even though we all know Amaya is gonna fuck up the timeline so hard, I'm glad she's finally confronting the path she's taken and what it means for her to have gone out of her timeline. Damien was working through some heavy family stuff with Nate. Precious scene, by the way (I've only rewatched it five times, no big deal). Zari reflecting on family and traditions while trying to teach Mick how to control the fire totem. And, on top of that, Kuasa realising what she's fighting for and trying to redeem herself by siding with her grandmother against Nora. And Ava learning where she comes from. All of that tied together was amazing. Zari is really growing on me. She's freaking amazing and not only because she doesn't give a fuck about everything but because she's the most relatable character on the show. She's too real and I feel her pain.
Nate steeled up! When was the last time we saw it? It feels like it's been centuries. Last I remember was when he and Amaya had sex. Gotta be that they're saving budget for the finale.
Amaya is totally about to create her own Flashpoint. Vixenpoint! This show wouldn't be this show without some big fuck-ups near the end. I'm guessing Amaya saving her village from destruction is the last straw to break Mallus out of his cage. And did Kuasa outright say that Nate wasn't her grandfather? That got me thinking. Is she for real telling the truth? Could she have been mistaken? 'Cause I assumed he was indeed her grandfather, especially since it's been teased before. I remember Amaya telling Kuasa not to kill him because she needed him. So, either she's mistaken or they do indeed go their separate ways.
I never get enough of Gary. He's the real MVP. Which could only mean he's either a bad guy or going to die. Or a bad guy who's going to die. Tonight, he's got some of the best lines. "No, no! You can't break up, I was shipping you so hard!", lol Gary. I wonder what Gideon thinks of the break-up. "What am I supposed to do next? Put on a wig and pantsuit and pretend I'm her?", lol, Gary. "What if Grodd got her too? Oh my God, Oh my God, oh my God".
Wally keeps on being well-used! It's amazing what this show can do to one character who has been unfairly misused in the Flash. I loved that "I'm the fastest man alive. Second fastest. Shhhhhh-she doesn't need to know that". I love seeing him and Nate work together. "Just be on the lookout for a badass in a leather outfit or a suspicious puddle of water".
Darhk and Nate's banter reminded me so much to their almost high five last season and I couldn't help but laughing. Neal McDonough is great. His comedic skills are amazing. he's like those cartoon villains. I wouldn't mind having him as a villain every season. That torture scene was pure gold. Seriously, watching Damien breaking down and talking about his feelings so openly with Nate had me in stitches.
"It's ok. You're distracted. I get it. You made a deal with the Devil and now he's come back to claim your little girl, am I right? Damien, this is deep stuff, man. Let's just keep digging, let's keep digging". That was precious. I had to watch it twice because I was laughing so hard I couldn't hear a thing.
I love that Sara's definition of hell is being surrounded by her exes, when she's died a lot before and lately she almost killed all her friends being possessed by Mallus. And that it means paradise to Gary.
Legends is full of shenanigans and nonsensicality, so that means that I shouldn't be surprised anymore. However, I am. Next week's episode is entitled "Guest Starring John Noble". Like, for real. And we've got Grodd and Obama. And the promo saying "Make America Grodd again", lmao. Sometimes I wonder what the hell is this show. It ready looks promising. I said it last episode, but I'll say it again. This show is gonna blow up with the meta references. I remember reading that John Noble was going to play a character. I wonder if they'll step into the set of the Lord of the Rings and then he's gonna end up playing Mallus' vessel. With this show, you never know.
