Chuck berry actually created rock and roll not elvis
How this show continues to be amazing baffles me. Let's hope they keep it up and don't fall into the pitfalls Arrow/Flash/Supergirl have fallen into!
Oh my God! There're no words to express how I'm feeling right now and the feelings and deep emotions that this episode aroused in me. God bless this magnificent show! I expected the episode to hit me in the feels since it was all about the King but I've gotta be honest, it hit me way harder than I was expecting.
Elvis Presley aka "The totem bearer", Sara and Ray fighting a floating guitar possessed by Elvis' dead brother Jessie, a pet rat funeral and a dead rat ghost, and Elvis defeating an army of ghosts by singing Amazing Grace. God bless this show!
Legends embraces weirdness and brings it to a brand new levels. It certainly out-weirds itself episode after episode. I never know what to expect and I have no clue about what's to come. This show is a pure wild ride of nonsense and I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Honestly, this show is the best thing that's happened to me. Can't Legends never end, please?
The writers are setting the bar of wackiness higher than ever. They outdone themselves every episode. I have no idea what they're smoking to come up with these ideas but keep to it guys! We much appreciate it.
Episode after episode, I love Zari even more. She's the most relatable team member. I love each and every one of the faces she makes. She really doesn't give a rat's ass about anything (bad choice of words). I knew Wally and Zari were going to be a good partnership and they were. I just love how annoyed she was with Wally being a speedster. By the way, Wally being able to do everything in a split of a second is refreshing. In The Flash everyone doubted him and used him as a punching bag. Now he's getting the writing he deserves. However, I love that they found a way to not use Wally's speed for everything. Not being a chainsaw but a scalpel, well, I guess that'll work. I also loved that scene when Wally was talking to the preacher to convince him of giving up the record so that it could be played on the radio. I thought Wally's speech was in vain and that he was gonna break the record. To my surprise, that didn't happen. That was a good twist. The preacher was kind of stupid. He didn't let Elvis record his music alledging it was the Devil's music but he was as happy as Larry when he listened to his nephew's music on the radio. Interesting priorities.
Amazing Grace. I knew this song was going to be played and I thought I was prepared for it. Never have I been so wrong. This song makes me feel things that I thought weren't possible. But it does. It can't be compared to anything else. Jezz, that Amazing Grace song hit me really hard. Every single time I listen to it I get emotional and shed tears. I found myself singing along with tears in my cheeks. That was such a powerful and touching scene. Man, I love the King. I was Nate during the whole episode.
Elvis accepting who he is and who he's supposed to be through music and the power it can bring at the same time that he accepts death as an inherit part of life. Just wow. That was some heavy stuff to work with and they managed it perfectly.
"Elvis...is a totem bearer". I swear, the lines this show gets... I wonder how many takes it would've taken for her to say that line with a straight face. This show is completely bonkers!
Mick was outstanding tonight. He's one of the deepest characters in the Arrowverse and I love every scene he's in. His love for Axl hit me right in the feels. I swear I've never felt so bad as when I watched him shed a tear for his pet rat.
I'm not crying over a dead pet rat. I'm not crying over a dead pet rat. You are. I can't believe Legends made me emotional about a freaking rat. Axl was too pure for this world. That ghost rat, man.
I loved, and I mean really love Ray's memorial for Axl. That whole scene had me in stitches.
"We're gathered here in remembrance of our dear friend, Axl. Charles Dickens once wrote," Life is made of ever so many partings welded together". Axl is one of such parting. And while we may lose some, they are never really gone. And they certainly can't be replaced. They'll live on in the memories we shared with them and the lessons they taught us. And it is because of that that we can embrace the change. I still remember the first time I met Axl. It was in the vents. I was tiny Atom. He was a big rat. And he tried to eat me. I knew we'd laugh about it one day together. Sara, I believe it's customary for the Captain to share a few words. Well then, please join me in a chorus of 'sweet Child of Mine'". That was precious. Ray's too pure for this world. The whole speech was amazing and that last "join us in a chorus of 'Sweet Child of Mine'" was the cherry on the top. Everything was rolling perfectly well but that final scene was the perfect wrap-up for the episode. "In memory of Axl. 2015-2018". What the hell? I can't help but loving this show. We didn't get a "in memory of..." when Start died, we didn't even get one with Stein's demise, but we got one with Axl, lol.
Sara's "Were going to Church" delivery was fantastic and Mick's "Sandwich Totem" was absolutely bonkers. I also loved how they were name dropping Elvis' songs. "Let's see if a night in jailhouse rocks some sense into you", that one felt a bit forced, but it was fun.
Amaya and Nate alone. At the beginning, I wasn't a fan of them getting together, maybe I had previous knowledge of the CW's love for relationship drama. But once you look at their relationship closer, that might just be the best romantic relationship in the Arrowverse. I'm letting slide the fact that Amaya dumped Nate at the beginning of the season. Amaya's "I love you, Nathaniel" was so cute. Nate hellbent on showing his music to Amaya was lovely, s well as his passion for rock and roll. I would've loved to listen to Amaya's music of Zambezi.
As soon as Ray appeared with that lockbox I knew it wasn't gonna work for long. And next episode Sara gets possessed because she can't control de death totem. In a weird way it makes sense. Sara and death are bound together. I can't wait for Constantine to come back and give the Legends a helping hand.
Overall, unexpectedly emotional episode with loads of crazy stuff (crazier than usual) surrounding Elvis. Ghosts, funerals, music, totems, death and a freaking guitar floating around hitting the Legends. Now I wonder, what's the next crazy thing the writers have waiting for us? Btw, the actor playing Elvis did a great job and gave us a great impersonation of the King.
The best thing about this episode, aside from Elvis Presley and our beloved Axl? The absence of Damian Darhk.
That ending, oh man... xD
Ok, we get Wally is excited but give this speedster a proper chance. No fair limiting his abilities knowing how much difference he can make.
They take many liberties with Elvis Presley life.

"All right, Legends, put on your Sunday best because we are going to church!"
Sara was so done with them, and I absolutely loved it. I replayed that moment at least 6 times.
Zari and Wally's relationship is so great. They've only known each other for 2 episodes, but they have so much in common and they really understand each other and have fun together. I hope we'll see a lot more of this dynamic. It's very enjoyable to watch.
Tala Ashe looked so good in her 1950's get-up. I mean, they all looked great, but it just suited her so perfectly.
I'm so sad about Mick and Axl! Rest in peace, little buddy. That funeral scene was absolute comedic genius, though.
Great episode overall. I love it when they have to save pop culture icons, just like they did with George Lucas in season 2. There are always so many great references.
