1x01 Secrets

An amazing start for this series! If the rest of the episodes are this good, I may not sleep until it's finished..

A frustratingly slow opening. It sets up a mystery but really takes its time and feels like it has a few too many characters right now. Nobody seems very friendly, either. I hope it gets more interesting and we'll actually be given answers.

This was good. The opening is great, one of the best I've ever seen!

Not the most engaging pilot. So many setups and characters introduced at once. Mystery seems to be fleeting, lingering around the corner but there's no clear direction yet where it would lead the viewers. Feels like the episode is setting up a lot of things for the whole season at once.

It had the level of suspense and mystery just to have me interest the whole episode. I would've liked to know what the letter said, though.

yes, I know I am a little late on here. First episode was a bit boring in the beginning, but in the end, it grabbed me and I‘ll definetly continue watching

Boring characters, boring mystery, obnoxious sound design. Also, that last scene ruined the whole episode for me.
I can't believe that German Polizei is so terrible at its job that they let a father trample the crime scene, compromising any evidence, to identify his possible son before the coroner examines the body and forensics do their job. Utter nonsense.

The only impression the pilot left me with is that the soundtrack is extremely grating. It’s so rare that I have to watch something with the lowest volume possible because I honestly wouldn’t be able to watch the show otherwise without wanting to throw my headphones across the room. And since this has been strongly recommended to me, I’d like to stick around with it for a bit.

Most boring show ever. Tries too hard to be dramatic. Actors really bad or poorly directed. Annoying as fuck sound score!

It's refreshing to come across an interesting show where teenagers aren't annoying by default
The story is very compelling, but I still found myself a cuople of tiemes checking how much time was left
I wonder if now that the characters and the place are presented the story will have a slightly faster pace

It is much more scary than "Stranger Things," with more adult and serious themes, and the soundtrack is really creepy. I watched it in German to improve my language skills and from the point of view of language learning, it was not so difficult as I expected, especially with German subtitles on.

I have no idea what's going on. Give me more!

The actors are good, the atmosphere is great, but at the moment it all seems a bit hasty. But ok, I'm confident regarding the upcoming episodes.

Not a bad episode. It didn’t fully grasp my interest but I can definitely see the pieces being set up. From what I’ve heard I am expecting to get more invested as the story progresses.

Episode (& Stranger Things) Spoilers: Obviously they are different shows, but cant help getting Stranger Things vibes. A small town where nothing happens suddenly is victim to a mysterious child disappearance and seemingly supernatural elements. A government facility coincidentally nearby that could possibly be the source.

Super slow opening, introducing the mystery is great, I'm curious but mostly bored, still, I've heard good things, so it might be worth sticking around for... maybe, but who are all these people?! It's a pacing nightmare. Also, if I have to hear another American say Nu-cular instead of what it is NU-CLEAR, I might scream.

Watched on Netflix. This German show looks very promising, making the audience want to know what exactly the story is about. Until now, I can't tell where this is heading, but the disappearance of two people in the small town of Winden makes us wonder if this is another crime series, or something more original. For now, it looks original and depressive, starting with a suicide, but we'll see. And one last thing: the letter. What does the letter say? That's the suspense.

I'm seeing a lot of potential here, but this one was PACKED with introductions and setup and light on anything else. As such, it'll be hard to tell much more until the next outing, which will hopefully be much more action. Still, the mood and atmosphere here seem perfect for what I'm expecting out of this one, so that's a huge plus. Time will tell, but I'm hoping that the good things I've heard hearing about this one all turn out to be true.

I expected a lot more disappointment for me. The story is good, but the processing, directing, etc. It's very weak or rather very bad and I don't understand how this series can have such a high rating. with closed eyes I rate 6 out of 10 and only for the story otherwise I would give 5 out of 10 It's a pity that such a good looking series spoiled like this, but what to expect from Netflix I have not seen anything good from them, not even in terms of movies 90% is bad mainly because they want such money for it. Sorry my English is bad.

I like the look of this. The premise is interesting. I like the music. There's a nuclear plant. A kid's missing. And another has gone missing. All the characters have issues. The high school kids have access to lots of drugs. I guess the writers have planned out a lot of directions they can take this. I'm watching this in German with English subs and I don't even comprehend that I'm always reading. Why people have problems with subtitles is strange.

As a German I get a very German vibe from this first episode. It reminds me of some of the stranger German crime dramas and that's definitely something that's going to put some people off. But I'm intrigued.

All the weed talk and teenagers make this look like it was written by Americans.

geez, sounds like he's shouting "CHICKEN! CHICKEN!", and the weird part is I'm eating chicken and fries as I'm watching..
