I know this show is crude and ultra violent but there is heart in the story and I am enjoying it.

I feel like nothing is happening in the show. I mean, it's clear that things are happening, but I wonder why I should care. David is too flat as a character, so much so that my attention is lost on other characters like Lucy about whom I have hardly been told anything.

The cinematography is good, the animation is tremendous, but I also keep thinking that I already saw all this with "Kill la Kill" and that show is far superior to this one in all aspects.

6.5/10 - Nice, David is becoming an Edgerunner :)

I wonder how guilty Lucy feels. She didn't seem to look at David when he confronted her and apparently she demanded that they don't kill him ("I said no murder"). And she tried to help him out a bit ("well this toddler is full of surprises" and "about your mom, sorry for your loss").

Quite unexpected that David's mom sold chrome as a side hussle.

I like Maine! He has values and isn't just an idiot/brute:

  • "Condolences kid, that's tough."
  • "Ain't no one in this world you can trust more as yourself."
  • "Everyone gets a fair shake, only way I operate."

David getting a scholarship is more than suspicious but he doesn't seem to realize it?

Quite a funny detail that they used the ICE braking "minigame" from the game (could be seen in Lucy's eyes).

That driving scene was... interesting... (not necessarily in a good way)

Decent episode to introduce the cyberpunk job and how it works in this universe. Pacing is well done, even much better than the game's (Cyberpunk 2077) pacing. Nothing too exciting but not too dull either. The scene with the fixer is kinda on the nose to make some sort of looming threat, however.

I don't understand that David seem to like Lucy already for some reason.
