What the hell happened to Daniel's son?? He just floated away under the water, it looked like the kid drowned haha
The soap opera is getting tiring. It’s like the same back and forth for the past 44 episodes. It’s exhausting. These people fall for the same shit over and over.
The script isn't great this season... Daniel and Johnny behaving like complete idiots again, and the same cliches and confrontations we've seen many times already.
Skyler from breaking bad whoo??Amanda?
Take away all the lame love stories in this show and it would actually be a great show to watch...
Everytime Danny LaRusso talks, it seems like he is this pathetic old guy who just can't put down the past. Why is it his fight to up against Cobra Kai in the first place? Mr. LaRusso is the most self-righteous guy i know.
The slide race at the end was the stupidest thing I have see on tv in yaers...
I think this will be the last season for me, even if there is another. It has become very predictable.
When the love scenes come... so does the fast forward button
LOL, I thought the dream at the beginning would be from Johnny but then it turned out to be Carmen's dream :D
Johnny can be such an idiot - almost giving his social security number to a scammer... :o
Daniel is still such a hotshot that Silver could easily outplay him (although he had quite a good plan).
Demetri showing up at Johnny's house was fun as was Johnny's ride-sharing xD ("Join the club man.")
It sucks that Miguel and Robby went into another fight but I guess that was to be expected. Hopefully Johnny can help them. Poor Johnny btw - they don't make it easy for him... :o
Daniel got quite outplayed - Amanda is so angry!
There's already quite a (emotional) mess to sort out :o :D
It was poor to be honest. Same bullshit again and again.
The stylist for Kyler’s hair needs to be fired, tarred, and feathered.
"Downward Spiral" is definitely an appropriate name for this episode.
For people into martial arts, they seem to have missed some of the basic lessons.
But basically it is just trite, and increasingly repetitive themes. Everything is a drama - the writers should have been embarrassed by the swimming pool scene
In hindsight, I should have stopped after season 4, but the first episode showed some promise...
Soap soap saop? Opera? xD
Even that awesome Top Gun intro couldn’t save the episode for me. After a strong start to the season, episode 3 & 4 felt a little too predictable and formulaic. Johnny’s story arc was welcomed, but Daniel/Amanda falling out and the juvenile aggression at the waterpark are scenarios that have played out too many times now. I normally forgive Cobra Kai’s corny clichés but these things just came across as flat and contrived. Still, I love that this show even exists, I’m sure it’ll pick up later in the season.
5x04 - Downward Spiral 7.8/10 (Impressive)
In my opinion, the best episode of the season thus far. It was excruciatingly unpleasant to witness each of Terry's cunning schemes play out one by one, and you couldn't help but feel bad for Daniel. The fact that Daniel's marriage is on the verge makes the rivalry significantly more personal for Daniel, and I can't wait to find out how Daniel and Chozen retaliate.
Miyagi Do/Eagle Fang's rivalry with Cobra Kai at the water park is in classic “Cobra Kai” style. Robby tries his hardest to persuade Tory to leave Cobra Kai by pointing out the dangers the Dojo poses to children and uses Kenny as an example. Tory's look during the “cheaters” chant reveals that she is still troubled by her championship win. But in the end, she is unable to put it behind her and decides to remain a member of Cobra Kai for the time being.
Robby suffers from Miguel and Eli's mistrust, since he acts as a go-between for the two groups. Ultimately leading to them getting in a heated altercation and both letting Jonny know that they are not and never will be friends, putting Jonny in a difficult spot.
On the lighter side of the episode, Johnny is looking for a way to support his family, which leads him to ride-sharing and food delivery. However, as is to be expected, Johnny is absolutely terrible at it, getting one-star after one-star reviews and just not having the public decency required for such a job. However, eventually, thanks to a good talk from a Pawn shop owner, Johnny comes to the realization that even though it sucks, he's ultimately doing it for his family. In the end, deciding to become more mature, and even offering to keep Robby for the summer.

Amanda buying Silver’s bull instead of listening to Daniel about him .
