Die Priscilla!!!!
The Claymore anime came recommended to me since I enjoyed Castlevania and Berserk. However, it doesn't reach their feet.
The anime has that sexy 90s anime aesthetic. The story is about a demon hunter in a medieval world with no relationship to our world. Then the narrative context of the shounen battle comes into play. The hunter evolves to take revenge. This paragraph may contain a lot of sarcasm and cynicism, but I like the aesthetics of anime from the 90s. The problem here is the fact that, in historiographical terms, this anime came out in the wrong period. You see, not only did he benefit in terms of aesthetics, but he was harmed in terms of the narrative. The perception of antiheroes is still very new and the famous Japanese creativity is still under construction. The manga's biggest problem is its narrative development and the anime makes this the most. We can see the construction of the characters being very weak - I just wanted them to die. You might argue it's a crusade and they are soldiers, but even soldiers are people and can be exploited. Then the fan comes in and says they are war machines lol.
The themes are to serve the story and not the other way around. There is an anecdote on the subject - you don't invent the wheel twice. I understand why people like this anime. It's rock n roll, mega albino heroines saving people and killing monsters. Remember the valkyras, right?
All in all, it was an interesting trip and a challenge that I managed to overcome. I don't recommend this anime because it's very old and steeped in fetishes - if I want to see something like that, I'll go for Gantz:joy:. But, if you are interested in studying cinema and, in turn, animation, it is an interesting case study.
P.S: watching this anime is like a rollercoaster, it starts well and ends very badly. I feel really sorry for Raki for being a wasted character.
P.S.S: If there was a second season, some problems would disappear, however others would appear. It would probably improve the characters, but the context would be worse in this case you need someone direct to edit and select the best parts.
This is one of the best animes i've seen. its a shame it didn't continue as a series.
This was a great anime! Entertaining story, good animation (for it's time) and awesome character development. The only downside was the ending which was a bit rushed but that also can't be helped since the manga was still ongoing at that time.
Looking forward to a new adaptation in future.
one of my top 10 favorite animes!!!
I wish it continued but still easy on my top 5 anime. Simply a must watch.

This has to be one of the best anime series i have ever seen! Fantastic! Well developed characters and story line and certainly room for another season or spin off series.
One of my favorite mangas and the anime is good up until the ending, which sucked. Thankfully the manga is still ongoing (albeit slowly)
ending was made up since the manga isn't finished yet. i'm following the manga and still awesome as always. problem with the manga is, it's too slow, 20-30 pages per month. continuation if there ever going to be one is still far out.
Ive only seen the first couple of episodes but i like it so far :)
Worst ending ever! :/

The wealth of depth of Claire and her story as a silver eyed witch brings us on a journey of struggles and the power to overcome in an anime series that has content that hails back to the golden age of anime and what made anime a household term. By far the only modern anime that truly grabs my attention.
Watch Claire battle the ancient Japanese mythos of the Yoma as a Claymore, an ancient sect of dedicated protectors who earn their right to living in this world by being the very evil they seek to eradicate and living by strict codes.
