Plotlines about characters getting a promotion/job offer that would require them to effectively leave the show are always so hollow and empty. Most of the time, the character isn't going to end up going through with it, because they're not leaving the show. Certainly not in episode 9 of season 2, at any rate. Maybe it'll happen temporarily, but it'll get walked back.
