That last episode was nailbitingly fantastic, except for the literal Face-Off. Very unrealistic and a bit two-facey...
Too good to have missed it for so long. I would have loved to watch the episodes week after week to maintain the suspense, but I consumed it in less than a month. Each chapter is better than the last, its characters are memorable and YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. The script is impeccable and the effects are amazing. Heisenberg is easily one of the most cunning characters in film and TV history. Simply... a work of art.
Best tv series ever! Everyone who has not seen this yet is lucky..10'''/10 Epic!
The best series I've watched till now.....the story.....acting.....character development..... everything is just mind blowing....
Especially the last season HATS OFF....
And that's a wrap.
Well what can you say, fantastic ending to one of TV's best shows ever.
Unparalleled character development a gripping story and top notch production values from start to finish. Thanks, this was a highly enjoyable, if sometimes very painful, ride.
Makes one wonder if we ever see a show as good as this ever again... we can only hope!
8/10. Slow going, but the world building was necessary at the beginning. Watched because of the memes tbh.
maimdjw oh evsosvsiev side effects on a new window and the
Possibly the best series ever put to screen, but I can't say for sure until I've watched everything else, which sigh might take a little while.
Will in the season 1 i was waiting for something big, because from what I heard about this show it’s “Legendary” show, but the season one was fucking normal one. Same goes to season two and three, In the fourth season it became more interesting and the show attracts you more than before. But when we talk about season five will it’s fucking another story the last season was the best.
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed this show.
I will give it 8/10 :pray_tone2:
if you’re a huge fan of the show definitely follow through by watching ,”Better Call Saul ”.
Arguably the finest tv series of the last decade.
This is just one of the best shows ever to exist.
This show is as good as it gets!
@thegreat107: I'm sure this is the top show everywhere, and WD doesn't even begin to compare with BB.
Can I please upgrade my rating to a 11?
I think it's time for me to start watching this.
One of the best ever written.
Deep Show. Lots of angles. Keeps you on the edge.
11/10
I've finally gotten around to watching this show and needless to say, I loved it. I don't tend to pick favorites with anything and while I thoroughly enjoyed this show, I'm a little baffled how so many people are calling this the greatest show of all time. It has great cinematography, in-depth meaning to the episode names, foreshadowing or symbolism in unique ways, but shouldn't how much you enjoy the show also play a factor in whether or not it's the 'greatest show of all time'? Just because a majority calls something the best of its category doesn't make it the best. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the show. I just think that even if a show is bad to a majority's standards, there's still someone out there who considers that show the greatest show of all time. It doesn't matter if more people think a show is the greatest show of all time, it doesn't automatically make it true. Everyone has different tastes. Just like how there's also a majority who don't like or hate this show and aren't a fan of it, and that's completely fine. I liked this show even though it was pretty slow multiple times, but I wouldn't consider it the greatest show of all time. Everyone has their own 'greatest show of all time.' This show just isn't mine.
Breaking Bad and The Wire!
Best Series ever!
After you finished it, I give you a few months! ...
You want to watch it again! :D
PS
and maybe Firefly... ;)
obviously a 10.
also, skyler haters are just misogynists, plain and simple. she doesn't have to be your favorite and you can totally find her annoying but if you seriously watched all that and garnered that she was the "true villain", I've got nothing.
I think this might be the best drama show ever made. It's the only one I watched all over again for the second time after it ended. And now, after another few months, I really miss it and want to watch the whole thing for the third time. Absolutely epic!
Probably one of the best innovative explorations in the human character and what can happen when faced with crisis. Well written and very well acted. Definitely a show not to miss.

Rating: 81
Saul Goodman
He is one of the characters who made Breaking Bad funnier. Especially with his two guys, Huel and Kuby. Saul's mouth is just like any lawyer in general, good with words. At first, he seems dangerous for Walt's drug operation, but in a matter of fact, he helped Walt and Jesse so much. Anyways his role in Breaking Bad could be more developed, but probably that's why there is a spin-off about him, Better Call Saul.
Marie Schrader
Marie's role is kind of underappreciated by Breaking Bad fans. But that's understandable because she barely got her important moments as a character. It was unfortunate as a regular character in the show from day one. In her few moments, she successfully gave this show an emotional element especially when she reacted to the situation regarding Hank. Her moments with her sister also created more depth for Skyler.
Tuco Salamanca
The first villain for Walt and Jesse. Only one word can describe his character, wild. His behavior was very unpredictable. He was so easy getting temperamental and he didn't hesitate to beat his men for no reason. His first appearance was the brutal side of the drug business. The way he talks made everyone don't want to be in the same room with him. Salamanca's family is not the right people to be messed with.
Mike Ehrmantraut
Mike is proved how good the writing of Breaking Bad is. The show's decision to give Mike more depth, instead just showing him as a random hitman is made his character feel real. He already showed up in the second season but did not get much exposure until the last season. His connection with Saul Goodman was interesting to watch, there is some history between them that is interesting to explore in Better Call Saul.
Gus Fring
He is the main villain in Breaking Bad. Also, he is the scariest and most dangerous person throughout the seasons. Gus made the tension escalate when Jesse and Walt had a conflict with him. Gus's power in the show is incredible, a famous person with the most innocent looking in public. Then we got his backstory with the Cartel which made us feel odd because we had some kind of empathy for this guy. His last moment is so badass.
Skyler White
Some people are probably annoyed by Skyler's character because of her conflicted heart. But that's made her character how normal person reacts to what Walt did. Skyler and Walt are similar, they are selfish on some points. That made their communication is so problematic and put their family harmony in a bad way. Skyler has a lot of moments that show how good Anna Gunn is as an actress.
Jesse Pinkman
Jesse is the most destroyed person in the show. Since season one, Walter White never stopped manipulating him and made him in a lot of low points. But he had an ups and down relationship with Walt. Sometimes Jesse sees Walt as his tutor or even father figure since his real father ignored him. Every moment with Jesse is almost always depressing. Jesse and Walt are the best interaction and relationship that this show gave.
Hank Schrader
Hank's mission to put Heisenberg in jail made the show feel so exciting. The fact that the person whom he looking for is his brother-in-law made him in a unique position. From the first episode to his last episode we could watch how he turned from a cheerful uncle to a grumpy serious officer. If we compare his facial expression from season 1 and season 5 we could know he through a lot of stress, anger, and disbelief.
Walter White
The man behind the chaos. A normal chemistry teacher became a drug lord mastermind. Walter is the example of a best-written character ever in the history of television/series. His transformation from boring Walter White to heartless Heisenberg put us in a lot of shock in the entire series. Kill after kill he did make his eyes blinded by blood and his mind only thinking of winning without caring about the cause of it.
A fun ride, but not one I feel any compulsion to labour through again.
Simply best tv show ever
When I think about Breaking Bad, when I look back at the summer I spent watching it one season after the other, I get goosebumps. It is not JUST a TV show, it transforms you, it makes you think. After watching the last episode, the series stuck in my mind for long after that. After a year I still have random thoughts about certain scenes, about how breathtaking the cinematography was, about the genius of so many plotlines. Breaking Bad is perfection, and I would give everything to be able to see it again for the first time!
Best television series of all time.
one of the best tv shows I've ever seen. MASTERPIECE.
Breaking Bad is even more addictive then crystal meth.
The latest season is again hilarious.
Absolutely must see.
The actors nominate themselves to get awards again.
One of the best series ever made. Incredible characters and fantastic story!
the most realistic shows of all time no question!
It’s just simply a masterpiece
This is an absolute masterpiece, loved and hated every single second of it, forever stunned
Great show greatest overall story out of any show ever. Slow at times but still debatably greatest show of all time
Greatest tv show to ever exist. (Not even close)
The best thing about this show is that it layed down the carpet for the masterfully crafted Better Call Saul.
Just to be clear, Breaking Bad is a very solid piece of television, just not as good as people make it out to be. The suspension of disbelief required from the viewer at times is too overwhelming. The main plot and protagonist transformation are not convincing either.
Just masterpiece, 10/10, never watched the series better.
Binge-watched it 3 times so far, and I’m still not done with Breaking Bad. Simply put, it’s brilliant in every way.
finally years and years of seeing those memes of this show, I finally watched it and it turned out to be my favourite show of all so far! it's so good, fuck yeah :D
I'd easily put this up there with The Sopranos as one of the most important TV Shows of all time.
No Doubt The Best Series from last two decades.
The best series ever made
The best series ever made
The best series ever made
Not sure what all to say about this show in a few words except that it is incredible. Other than some SLIGHT pacing issues in season 1, every episode gets better and better. The story builds. The characters build. The severity of everything just keeps building. And then its over. Then you realize nothing will ever come close to the near perfection that this show was. Not Better Call Saul. Not El Camino. Breaking Bad is world class content that I can only hope I get to nearly experience in some other show in the future.
Average Season Review: 9.8/10
Recommendation: Must See (For Anti-Hero Drama Fans)
the fourth season was the best one i have seen till now
MY THOUGHTS ON BREAKING BAD:
-WARNING: Spoilers Below-
There's a single word that explains this TV Show perfectly and that single word is... MASTERPIECE. From start to finish this show was amazing and kept you captivated all throughout. I honestly believe this will be remembered as a television great. Of course there were some episodes that were mediocre and could have done better but overall the show was phenomenal.
Looking back on it I don't think there was a single season that I disliked, of course some seasons had episodes which I didn't like but that doesn't mean I didn't like the season as a whole. I think the opening season and the final season were the best out of the lot mainly because they opened and closed the show off perfectly, giving us the perfect opening chapter and perfect closing chapter.
There was some characters in the show that annoyed the life out of me though and at times I stopped focusing on the scenes when they were the main focus because I found them far too annoying. These characters were Walter White JR and Jesse. Walter was honestly one of the most annoying characters in television history and then Jesse was so irritating, there were many decisions he made which I wish he didn't it was like he did it just to be edgy.
Overall this was possibly one of the best TV Shows that I have ever watched and I'll always look back on it fondly, it had a brilliant yet sad ending and it had an amazing start. It was such a brilliant journey. If you're reading this before you've watched it all I'll say is... You're in for a treat.
Overall rating: 8/10
Clever plotting is not an adequate replacement for actual substance
Best TV series ever, period.
Greatest show of all time.
Breaking Bad, a show where the very fundamental elements they build upon over five seasons explode in one very famous episode, and before you know it Breaking Bad has ruined TV for you, because you know it can't get better than this.
Wish I could watch it for the first time again.
A series that was on my to-watch list since its last season ended in 2013, which I finally decided to watch in 2019, turned in to one of my favorite series of all time. Completed it in probably 3 weeks and loved every goddamned second of it. Beautiful story, characters, music, everything about this show was wonderful. The ending was, in my opinion, one of the most satisfying and beautifully written endings I have seen in a long time in a TV Show.
The best tv serie ever!!!
There is a high propensity to feel a bit dragged during the first or sometimes the second episode, but after believe it or not you will be just completely into it. One of the best I ever seen tbh!.
i watched it along the way
The best show there ever was.
Prison Break, 11.22.63 and Breaking Bad, the best series ever!
The best drama of century \o
The best serial drama I have ever seen in my life. You actually live the story. Because deep down inside, circumstances pending, we all have a bit of Walter in us. The story has so many twists and turns, then goes off in a tangent you would never in your wildest dreams think of. Fantastic writing and production.
Breaking Bad is by far the best drama I have I been ever seen in my life. Get the box set and watch it from star to finish. How everyone managed when is was screened the first time, I will never know. Having to wait for the next series. A truly fantastic and engrossing drama series. I don't think it will ever be topped, I can only give it 5 stars, it definitely deserves more.
The best show ever created
Just fucking amazing, one of my favorite shows.
One of the best shows ever? Quite possibly. The first season is admittedly slow yet watchable and involving. But there's an early point in season two, it kicks in and it starts firing on all cylinders. It builds up and is a masterclass in tension until a brilliant ending.
Todd is a much better Dexter
"This show has ended." Way to rub it in, trakt.
I was just watching some fan-made (tribute) videos on YT.

They are really, really nicely done!
Watching these got me all fired up for 5x09 again :D
Brilliant writing combined with flawless, top-notch acting & incredible good motion picture is leaving absolutely no doubt...
THAT THIS IS THE GREATEST 'DRAMA' SERIES IN TV HISTORY.
The terrifying realistic scenario & all that comes with it, will get under your skin - it's literally 'a thrill'!
I am running nuts the see the show continue (2013-07-15), even sadly this MASTERPIECE is coming to an end! (O_o)
120 Days remaining.
Just awesomeness. Let's cook.

LOL :D
Finale in season 4 was awesome
Agreed. This show is amazing and one of the best dramas on TV right now. If you are looking for a new show to watch, pick this one.
Breaking Bad is a product of what we might call the “second wave” of the golden age of television; the time when other channels besides HBO got in on the act of making movie-quality, mostly serialized TV, with boundary-pushing subject matter.
Because Breaking Bad first premiered nearly a decade after The Sopranos launched the era, it was obviously made with the benefit of the lessons learned from the first wave shows. Because of this, I suspect it will hold up a little better than, say, the first season of The Sopranos, which now looks like it was made in another time.
Many people have talked about Breaking Bad as one of the greatest TV shows of all-time, or perhaps the greatest. It is definitely not the greatest fictional TV show of all time – that award should probably go to The Wire if we’re being honest about it – but it is probably the greatest “thriller” TV has ever produced, and it is one of TV’s great black comedies.
Like most great drama, Breaking Bad tells us something the human condition: it shows us how crime actually happens. Most people aren’t born criminals or don’t one day wake up and say “Hey, I think I’ll be a meth kingpin!” Most criminals become criminals because of circumstances and the poor choices they make in response to those circumstances. Walt – though he is an extreme case – and Jesse are far more representative of actual criminals than Todd, who is a total psychopath and seems to have been “made” that way. (In real life, a small portion of people clinical psychopaths but most people are just trying to go about getting through life and most people are going to rationalize their bad – and good decisions – which psychopaths and sociopaths do not need to do.)
So we have perhaps the best fictional TV story of how someone can go from “good” to “evil” simply by the choices they make when faced with difficult circumstances.
It’s interesting; I know a few people who have suggested Walt was always “evil.” I think this is an odd and overly traditional – i.e. religious – interpretation. Sure, we all have the potential to do terrible things, but that is only because there are no actual extra-human moral laws forcing our hands. Really, most of us are just normal people who do not face terrible circumstances every day. Trying to claim that Walt was always evil ignores the central message of the show: that the failings of healthcare and drug policy created the desperation that sent Walt to alternative means of earning money. It is only when he succeeded in transgressing that he began to lose his moral compass.
So, on the whole, the show is effective and, as I said, stands as one of the great thrillers in the history of the medium.
I had two major problems with it, neither of which I think makes the show on the whole particularly weak. I still think it was probably the best “thriller” in TV history, as I already said.
First, the longer the show went on, the harder it was for me to suspend my disbelief: Walt and Jesse should have been caught or killed multiple times and what we might excuse for luck once or twice got hard to take eventually, especially when it came to Mike, a professional who should have easily handled or avoided Walt.
Second, and for me much more serious, was the ending. If this show wanted to make a real statement about the power of circumstances and bad decisions in crime, Walt should have never been allowed to complete his revenge. Remember, he was dying of cancer. A shocking, uncompromising, unconventional and incredible thing to do would have been to let us see Walt’s plans for revenge, and to buy into how he was going to accomplish them, only to see Walt succumb to life: to cancer, to some associate of Tuco’s or Gus’ or Mike’s who had been missed or, frankly, to have been hit by a bus. Allowing Walt to achieve his end exactly how he saw fit – to get closure with Skylar and to provide for his children – added an element of poetic justice to the show that felt, to me, totally inappropriate and out of tone with everything that came before. I can’t help but feel disappointed that Walt was able to free Jesse and die on his own terms. He should have failed at his final mission. That would have been incredible and would have made it, in my mind, one of the greatest TV shows in history.
Sometimes, a show is just made perfect.
Greatest show of all-time hands down!
It's almost the perfect story.
Had a few episodes that were meh, but overall it was fantastic.

This shit is so overrated. The Wire is better and more realistic. I can't take bryan cranston seriously. He's made MILLIONS from shooting numerous guns and yet in real life he is an anti gun bitch. If you truly don't believe in our second amendment then you shouldn't be on screen glorifying gun violence for profit.

I love this series very much!
My first American show. Thank you
in the beginning it was boring , in the end looked like the beginning , doesnt live to the mainstream expectations
Lives up to its reputation as seminal, cornerstone television. It’s a tragedy first and foremost, of a man so beholden to his ego and pride he dooms everyone around him, and it’s incredibly compelling to watch his fall and everyone around him realize the time bomb that’s come into their lives. Sharply written and impeccably acted, Breaking Bad is essential watching
TBH, I was expecting more after all that hype... Narrative is super slow and I had to force myself to finish it since I spent a lot of my life waiting for something interesting to happen.
"Dread." This is what you'll feel in the early episodes in the series. Reason being you will be really in Walter and all the other people's shoe. You would get the scenario and feel like it is hopeless for all parties involved. It's how good it is as a show, that you would really be immersed in this world made by Vince Gilligan
If you are slightly interested in the show due to the comments you found. Check out the videos section of this page and watch the trailer. Shows impact people differently so give it a watch and see if it sticks!
This show will question your moral compass and have you picking sides. But in the end. I love the contrast on how I felt in the beginning of the show and the end. In the beginning it is full of dread, in the end you still have that feeling but in a positive light somehow. Maybe, it's because finally over at that moment or the ending showed the humanity inside Walter. However, he still had unfinished business which why it was bad ass about that machine gun thingy in the end because it shows how Walter treats his grudges. This show was good!
This series is not one of the best, it is the best. There's no way anything can be near the quality of this one. Every other show you watch could be 9.9 but cannot reach a perfect 10. This is the perfect 10. Even more than 10.
BB/BCS: THE GOAT, THE GOAT
Obviously I’m practically obligated to give this a perfect score. While not my favourite show of all time, I think it is technically the more flawless of my two top picks (the other being Attack on Titan). It’s a slow burn, but it still manages to keep you completely engaged, and it’s such a vivid antihero tale. I love antihero tales.

Arguably the finest tv series of the last decade.
