Not one of the better end of the season banters between Chuck and Axe.
The season finale and all second part of the season is big disappointment. I think Axe and Wendy acts totally out of character and is incredible that the show will continue after that. Obviously writers get tired in the pandemic or I don't know
Ah, man. Now I'm sad, learning that Damian Lewis is off the show. Both for the fact that the show will absolutely suffer for it, and for the reasons behind it.
Corey Stoll does a fine job, and Mike Prince was a decent season antagonist, but I don't think he can even come close to filling Axe's shoes. It doesn't help that they had to swerve his character super hard in this last episode in order to make that transfer.
And Wendy... what the hell is Wendy even going to do now? Her main purpose is now written off the show. It's going to be quite an adjustment.
I know the show isn't over, but if I had to rank the seasons as of now: S3 > S1 > S2 > S4 > S5. I actually think the entire show's been pretty strong - just that this last half of S5 was sorely lacking. But I know there are a ton of circumstances that caused it to be the way it is.
tbh i dont think i'll watch S6 since Axe ain't in it anymore. i mean what's the point !!!
What, that was a stupid ass ending and terrible way to write off Bobby character. Fuck this show. Terrible season finale.
To be honest, I saw that coming, and that was a cliche twist. The teaser for the next season has me worried we'll not be seeing Axe anymore.
What did catch me off guard was that till the very end, Wendy and Bobby never kissed. FFS, I wanted it so bad. I have been waiting 5 seasons for it. I really hope Bobby comes back in season 6.
How disappointing end how for this great season so far...
And Mike ? Meh, in his suits and all that crap, no thanks. I like hating Axe, but Mike is just boring.
In a New York Times interview, the actor [Damien Lewis] revealed that his contract on the series was always for five seasons, and he simply chose not to renew it when it lapsed. He also added that the death of his wife (actor Helen McCrory) this year did not factor into his decision.

"The immutable laws of the universe of fair and right"
How far off the reservation do you need to be in order to think that the universe is fair?
It is balanced - but only on a gigantic scale.
The writers don't even pretend to write chuck as a "good guy" anymore. By now he reminds me off the catholic church during the middle ages, killing people for things they deemed to be gods law and Axe basically confirms it with "Maybe we can have the audacity to create our own [laws of the universe]" - while people like gallilei didn't actually create new laws of nature, they brought them to us and made the old ones ("everyone know the earth is flat") obsolete.
It seems to be the year of show-leads leaving.
Spoiler for show New Amsterdam and Billions:
As much as I love seeing Chuck loosing, for this show it is like it is with New Amsterdam (If Agyeman and Eggold really leave both which it looks like): I fear it will kill the show. Much like Axe is the glue in Axe-Capital, he is also the glue in this show.
There are a lot of great characters in this show, but they all live through their interactions with Axe. They will need some really good writing to keep it interesting (at least for me).
I fear we will see many cancellations next year with all the leads leaving this year everywhere...
Mafee and Dollar Bill teaming up, I'm interested... I hope to see Bobby again in the next season! The show needs him.
Wtf happens,I hope Bobby come back in. The next season

Damian Lewis' wife died of the Big C in April - he left the show to stay in the UK and raise his kids.
