Every season ending I expect a warm and good episode, and every season they close the thing with these INCREDIBLE pieces of script filled with fantastic performances, great cinematography and even hand picked soundtrack. It's AMAZING!
I heard a Game of Thrones comparison to this and even though I don't watch that show I know enough to agree completely..
That Bobbi monologue to Rebecca- the first pure total unadalterated honesty I've seen from the guy- was so well-done. At first I thought he didn't actually say it, it was so unlike the total sum we'd normally get. Even though he's into honesty, this was...almost...almost vulnerable. And dead on, I think. Of course, this vulnerablity showed up only after he'd killed things with her in his head.
The second half of this season? Stunning.
I expected the Chuck indictment, trap, or plan of the Connerty types on some level but still great.
But I did not see that ending coming. Holy shit.
I, like everyone else, liked Chuck and Bobbi as a friends so it makes no sense him going to Taylor who was worse than Bobbi! Then they tried to add humanity near the end to Taylor and derailed plenty enjoyment in hating her. I guess Wendy storming out on her marriage and following her conscience made the difference with Rhoades and geeze.
Bobbi's plan was genius and Chuck should (and would if they followed the character path he'd been on for a year) have played ball but they want a good season five and to deliver that, they unfortunately need them to be in each others crosshairs. They would have had to end the show at season four otherwise, with everybody walking away happy.
The Axel Wendy chemistry got tender and looks like there is a possibility they will go there next season with her [spoiler] sleeping at his place. Yes. HBO, do it.
This episode felt like Game of Thrones :stuck_out_tongue:. This was my favorite season so far.
Wauw, talk about a dick move Axe... Sure, you were already a rich arrogant douchebag who has everything and wants more but this... At least in the past you could kinda stand behind him. After this? I don't know. It made sense right? Kinda... from a cold high-functioning psychopath kinda position.
It's just business... But it never is right?
The rest was pretty expectable.
Sh*t, sh*t, f*uck, f*CK, d*mn, p*ss, h*ll, mother f*cker, sonnamab*tch!!! AAAAaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhhh!!!
Okay, okay....
I'm alright...

That was fucking awesome. This show has the best season finales of any show I've ever watched. Just incredible. I was jumping up and down with joy.
1- i hated what Axe did to Rebecca, understand why he did but still bad, i was in same situation and acted the same to save the person we care about the most.
2- i knew Chuck will turn his attention and blame Axe for everything wrong in his life but using Taylor that was a bit surprising but predictable in a way!
now gotta stay up and watch S5
Some things expected, some very unexpected. It was a good reveal. Axe and Chuck working together was fun and all, but I knew it wouldn't last, and was honestly waiting the entire season for one of them to turn.
Axe and Rebecca had almost zero chemistry, so I'm not sad to see the end of that. They never even made Rebecca an interesting character - aside from her intro, she barely did anything without Axe asking/telling her to. She was just a female version of Axe, except with no fleshed out background.
Although I can say I am not looking forward to any potential Axe-Wendy things happening... That whole bed making scene was pointless, but I guess they wanted us to think that they were about to do something. Also, Wendy once again acting like a petulant child. Upset that Chuck didn't influence things on his own... why does it matter, when it got done? Better for her rich boss to do it rather than have Chuck risk his job trying to do it.
Seriously, what the hell is it with this show and Mark Cuban cameos? Are we supposed to be impressed?
