"I can't tell if this was extreme, extreme pettiness, or terrorism"

It's pretty wild how dark this episode got, it sort of leaves you stunned and reeling by the end, although you probably will be chuckling too.

This episode, aired and paired with the previous episode, show the show more rigidly committing to simpler, more strongly defined these and ideas for the basis of each episode, making them a bit easier to follow and understand.

This weaves the anthological element from the previous season by tying this seemingly unrelated character directly to Earn and his story, illuminating his character as much as his killer monologued. It's a power fantasy borne out, and so often when they leave our heads they go from comforting and understandable coping to something ugly and destructive, including of ourselves.

I find this a slight step-down the premiere since I prefer the show in ensemble (or at leas main cast-pairing) mode, and the woman half, although paid off in the end, is far from as engaging as Glover's delved-deep half given her equal episode time. But being back in Atlanta still does wonder to the show, as the details and jokes along the way feel spontaneous than random as might be in S3's stand-alones. “I can’t tell if this is extreme, extreme pettiness... or terrorism”.

As a Scorpio I endorse everything Earn did this episode, he did nothing wrong and his reaction was completely proportionate

That pec/shoulder grab and rub though. I know that feeling all too well.
