We lived in the Murder House
We escaped the Asylum
We protected the Coven
We attended the Freak Show
We checked into the Hotel
We experienced Roanoke
We joined the Cult
We will survive the Apocolypse
You love it or u hate it! But if u don't like a season u can choose another one! One of my favorite is the second one for example... But give it a chance, on the long term I'll enjoy it! The cast is amazing! Whether or not u like it!
LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! I've recommended it to EVERYONE in my Family and my friends <3
I really like the show so far, Gaga has done a pretty good job, the countess is such a bitch I love her.
Freak Show isn't half as bad as people make it out to be on IMDB. The first few episodes, while we still have the uknowht around, come close to the Asylum. It's just that as the show nears its finale it loses steam. Dandy isn't that scary, in fact, becomes more irritating near the end. Chester could've been given a longer role to play than to just keep blabbing to his doll.
But Jessica Lange, as always, is the star attraction of the (freak) show. It's worth a watch just for her. Too bad she isn't in Season 5; a guest appearance maybe? The way some of the episodes connect with the Asylum is nice too. I say, skip Coven and watch this instead!
I hope this show lasts a few seasons, it's soo friggin good!
The 2nd, 3rd, 5th seasons are amazing!!! I didn't like 1st and 4th season at all!...
OMG!! GOD !! This is the Best Show i have ever seen !!! thanks the crew for making The nearly perfect Tv Series!! GOOD JOB ..
OMFG The countess died?!!! I used to love her...
Current favorite binge show. Not sure what I'm going to do when I'm caught up to current episode.
best series EVER!!!!!
Best series
I love American Horror Story. I've been a fan since season 1 and it just gets sicker and sicker.
Can there be a show more more creepy and f**cked up then AHS?
I always remember watching the first couple episodes and was like what the hell is this, i thought it was a short movie at first but then found it was actually a tv series so i downloaded the rest and fell in love with it, S1 was okay, S2 was really twisted i loved it, S3 oh i enjoyed so much as i love witches, Jessica Lang is always my favourite to watch with each character she plays, i really wish she was leaving after season 4 but I'm going to enjoying Freakshow so much i wont think about her leaving until the end of the season.
Very good .... Love it
Love it, one of the best shows, but season 2 wasnt that good
Complete, bizarre, unique!
This story gives me history and culture with hints of high fashion. I love it! Plus, the redhead witch is obviously inspired by Grace Coddington. Respect to Mr. Murphy.
Man, Jessica Lange is my queen.
One of my favourites shows ever. And look I've never liked horror movies or anything like that. I really wished I could say somethings about how I like this show but I am really not able to put that into words. Amazing show! Can't wait for Salem!!!
What can i say...an amazing,AMAZING series! Both Seasons 1 & 2 have their own twisted story, twisted characters and lots of drama.I'm really looking forward to ''Coven'' and i'm glad that my favourite actors from previous seasons are going to be back.
Jessica Lange..that woman...is a perfection.A true professional.An outstanding actress.
Ryan Murphy & crew - HANDS DOWN! After Nip/Tuck,this series is the best thing that have happened to television :)
They just released the teaser for the next season! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uWer7A7d-NE
The first season was great, but the second was PHENOMENAL!
it's a piece of art
The first season was good, however, the pacing of the show was a little off, seemed slow at the beginning but it got very exciting around the 4th episode. I'm happy they stuck with their decision to change stories this season, because Ryan Murphy (the creator) is notorious for making shows that have great first seasons and then steadily decline in quality from then out. This way it's like every season is a first season. Hopefully this will lead to a more consistent level of quality over the life of the show. Also it probably saves them from have to escalate things to increasingly ridiculous levels (I'm looking at you True Blood)
Not for everybody, but if you like it, you LIKE it.
brilliant show, i think is one of my favorites!
It's like watching a very long and good horror movie.
Honestly, this show should've ended with the Apocalypse
Fantastic season one, downhill from there. It lost some thing once Jessica Lange left.
So number 1 drew me in asylum hooked me and freak show and hotel are my favs. I really hate when the season is done for this series.
Damn season 6 premiere was awesome
eh, this season was good but definitely not my favorite (Asylum). they've GOT to figure the pacing out!!
(via TV Blaze for WP)
AHS is definitely one of the best shows i've ever seen.
I like scary movies but sadly I think that every second movie I watch is just not scary anymore, 'cause I know whats happening....
AHS is different to those movies. It's a great mix of shocking moments, brainfucking events (especially season 2) and a more or less good story.
I expected more of season 3, ai think it's the worst of the show, even if it's still very good!
Season 3 started good, but lost its way halfway through... What a dissapointment.
3 season is best!!!!!
I'm still not really sure what draws me to this show, but somehow I find myself entranced. It could have been a badly acted flop on the level of Glee, but the writing keeps the quality up there. I'm not a huge fan of any of the characters or what happens to them, but the suspense keeps me interested.
Season 1 was great, 2 not so much. I found the plot to be too out there and cluttered and couldn't get through it. I'm sure I will eventually, as the premise of Season 3 sounds great!
Bravo! I've been completely hooked through season 2 and it didn't disappoint :)
To those who lost their way with it, I'd give it another shot. The effort is worth it
brilliant show, really glad i gave it a chance
Really believed AHS couldn't get any worse, but season eleven has hit a horrific new low,it actually left me wanting to puke.Time for this show to be cancelled!
Seasons 1-4 are amazing, but 5-7 are literally killing me with boredom. Then they made the apocalypse season by referencing the plot from 1st and 3rd seasons making another masterpiece. And then the show fell off. It's not even boring anymore, it's literally retarded.
I won't belabor the point, but this series is stuck in a nosedive. Is it about horror, or just a showcase in sexual deviancy?
I guess it could be both if it was scary.
Sorry to see it decline so much, I used to look forward to the new seasons.
The writers are really blowing it, because the actors are all really competent.
American Horror Story is probably my favourite show. Season one; Murder House was simply amazing. The characters and plot are the main highlights of this season. We meet characters who are all unique and interesting. Although I love this season some of the dialogue could be better and the pacing felt a little unsteady. Season two; Asylum obviously takes the title for best season. The acting is phenomenal, characters, themes, and some plots are well done. Lana Winters is my all-time favourite character throughout the show and here interactions with the other characters eventually changes her from an innocent reporter to a badass survivor and I honestly fell in love with it for some reason. The zombies and aliens had no significance to the plot and were very obviously unnecessary for the season. Coven is one of the most iconic seasons in the show and I understand why it is a lot of peoples favourite season. The plot keeps me interested, the characters are the main thing that made me fall in love with the season from Maddison’s bitchy attitude to Fiona’s lust for control. I don’t have a lot to say about season four. A lot of the plot is forgettable and again like many of the seasons the characters carry the season. Dandy is fucking great. I feel people don’t like this season as much because the concept seems boring. I mean I wouldn’t willingly watch a tv show about a group of people with abnormalities survive in a circus. With that being said it is my favourite season. Season five is overrated. Season six was good for the first half. Season seven was mediocre but had Oscar-worthy performances. Season eight ruined AHS and I hate it so very much. Season 9 was pretty good. Season ten was a 5/10. Not excited for more seasons and they should have ended it at season 5. This is by far my favourite TV Show even though half of it is a burning pile of trash.
2nd and 4th season are the best ones!
1st is great as well but then Hotel is just awful
after finishing hotel that's my ranking:
1. asylum
2. hotel
3. murder house
4. coven
5. freak show
The best seasons are Murder House and Asylum. Then the show just gets worse and worse. Hotel is trying to improve and its getting in there a little bit now.
First four seasons were great, but since then it's been one load of pish after another.
Season 2 kind of dragged, but I've loved all the other seasons so far (the last one I watched was Roanoke).
only good seasons are 1 and 2, which is trully amazing. seasons 3, 4 & 5 suck
A "musician" making the cast list and no Jessica Lange: certainly doesn't bode well for Season 5. Don't think I'll bother.
I was happy to see Patti LaBelle get it. Way too much makeup and overacting.
Season 4 has a title...
American Horror Story: Freak Show.
"The series, returning this fall, is set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950. “Freak Show” finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
Her group of “unusuals” Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy all play performers whom Lange’s character has rescued.
Denis O’Hare and the gorgeous Emma Roberts are also in talks to return.
“Freak Show’s” 13 episodes will track this group as they do anything to keep their business around.
It has been confirmed that it will Jessica Lange's last season.
This Season is not really good.
I don't know how to say it in english but in french we said : "glauque". It's like when you're alone in the street or in a house and you feel like there is someone behind you. You know it's not right but you feel bad. this is it, this feeling : You know that it's not real and it's a movie but you feel bad and unconfortable.
It's the "glauquiest" serie I've ever seen. Especialy the first season. :)
I think was aimed at getting under your skin rather than scare and for me it really scratched an itch.
I thought though that it wrapped a bit too much too quickly in the final episode. Not that it ran out of steam, more that it was quite dense through out.
I loved it and mostly hope there is not a second series unless they come up with something earth shattering because I think it achieved what it set out to.
actually season 2 takes of to be quite good, however the twist about bloody face is just to random and doesn't make sense sure unpredictable twists can be fun but there is a fine line between unpredictable and just not making sense this was part of the later.
Here’s my ranking of seasons:-
1 Asylum (10)
2 NYC (9)
3 Double Feature (9)
4 Murder House (8)
5 Roanoke (8)
6 1984 (8)
7 Cult (7)
8 Freak Show (4)
9 Hotel (2)
10 Coven (2)
11 Apocalypse (1)
S10 - Waste of time. Part 1 Red Time Passable (The Acting by Talented Actors is what keeps it engaging). Part 2 - 1950 Decent started with talented Actors & Tension. Modern day - Total let down & waste of time if you choose to watch. Overall S10 is the weakest AHS so far, I am not sure if Doing a S11 will revive the magzi* magic that AHS had to draw fans in. I will keep fingers crossed watching S11 but if it fails then goodbye AHS . I used to complete TVShows from S1 to cancellation but the quality of modern series have gone downhill that I am not willing to torture myself with millennial drivel served to please woke teens and mindles s tvve* f* viewers who like fast food version of tv shows. to binge.
S10: Palette cleanser after the garbage AHSs Spinoff. But The weakest of all AHS Seasons. - Nothing really ties the vampires, the chemist or the other characters together strongly like in all previous seasons. B* The tbeme* is weak - Talented = Sane Vampire, Talentless = Bloodthiratk&* bloodtgirsty insame* insane vampire. Nothing strongkly connects the vampires, the chemist, the residents like in previous seasons. There must be a twist at the end to make tgis worth a watch or else just good as background show. I have watched all seasons of AHS and this has been most disappointing. AHSs spinoff was total woke trash I could not even finish. This mau* may be heading towards a dead/cancelled show fast now.
Freakshow is Gold ..the rest is decent enough
This is arguably several different shows. When I think about how strong out of the gate this landed, it feels like I'm on an entirely different planet when I think about what's transpired in later seasons. I don't know how to consider it "horror." It's in the title, sure, but there's nothing fear-inducting. There's not even gimmicky jump scares. Avant garde comes to mind? It's not precisely camp, but it stopped being concerned about what any actor was really doing ages ago.
I struggle to remember what happens in any given season, let alone episode anymore. The plots are so simplified and told is some of the most needlessly convoluted ways, I get the feeling that the writers are bored. Had this brand died out after 3 or 4 seasons and kept the quality, this would be like a TV staple that people would still be talking about in the vein of quality and emotional movement. Now? Can it even help but to mock itself?
There's scenes and vibes from this series that stay with me, like the opening for the Freakshow season. I think there's some of the most memorable and cast-cohesion things you'll see on screen with the likes of Peters and Lang. I really want to know the tone of the producers' voices and people in the background keeping things like this zombified. Everyone wants a job and to keep the easy-enough money, but like, you kinda wish they'd tell you that the creatives and keepers of the soul of something have moved on precisely because they recognized it's no longer what they signed up for first.
I'm left this with completionist habit and confusion writing an imprecise and wanting digression precisely in the spirit of what this conjures.
Every season I find myself thinking I would have LOVED this in my 20s. Sadly, I'm currently in my 50s & often wonder why I'm wasting my time. But I still watch the next season, hoping...
Season 1-4 / 8.5 out of 10
5-7 / 6 out 10
8 / 7.5
9/ 6.5
10 / 8
Seasons 1,2 and 3 really good. Went to shit after that.
First season was great, second season started maybe not as good as the first one but still great but the third season kind of seems to shift away from the whole horror thing altogether and while it is still fun to watch its different.
One problem with a show like this changing to completely separate stories every season is that the actors stay the same and while the lead shifts around It can get quite confusing when the cast of the shows is largely the same and while this was less the case between season 1 and 2 season 3 seems to take over a large portion of the cast of season to which to me kind of sucks. I already associate actors between tv shows with characters but with the same cast on different roles every season it hurts the emersion a lot.
Season 1 was great and I had high hopes for next season, especially since it did not continue on the story of season 1. At first season 2 had me intrigued but halfway through the season I fear I have had to adjust my appreciation of this series. I would have given the series a 9 overall but season 2 serioursly made a dent into this. If they start on a 3rd season and it is as weak as this season 2, I fear it will be the last season I will watch.
I expected season 2 to pickup where it left off but it seems they are going for a new setting every season, shame its still mad scientist and its in another typical location now, I do think the original house locale was a lot better.
it was decent, just strange that according to the calender the last few episodes show first, oh well shit happens.
I don't think it's meant to be scary, more shock and surprise factor. I loved this though as it kept me wondering what would happen next... a 2nd season would be milking it too much though...
I used to love this show but season 10 was so bad I had to drop it. I'm glad I did too, after seeing the reviews and ratings for the most recent season. My advice to new viewers: watch the first three seasons, Roanoke, Apocalypse, and 1984 and skip the rest. You won't be missing anything worthwhile.
Second season was the worst thing I've ever seen, couldn't even watch it completely. Nice work on the third season, though, well made, better plot.
I heard there will be a season 13. I say its time to take this show to the back of the barn and end its misery. Guys do not waste your valuable time watching this crap!
season 11 complete utter shit. Hopefully 12 is back on track but this show is just hanging on by a thread I like the actors are good but it needs to move on
coven has been the worst of the bunch for me. im waiting to finish freak show to see if that still stands.
The first two seasons were great but the show really drops off after that. There's a few decent episodes here and there but as a whole I'm really disappointed.
Well done show, but mostly too gross for me to watch. I don't like torture. I really enjoyed the first season, although I didn't love the ending. FX sends me the DVD's of the show and I watch a few until I can't stand it any more...too violent and depressing. If you like horror/comedy and don't mind all of the gross stuff, it's a good show. Great writing and acting.
Why should so much porn????
Great :) recommended! (via Clutter for Windows Phone)
It's OK, but really not scary at all. After around 8 episodes I'm still not getting into it, so I'm going to move on. I don't really care about any of the characters, and the "everyone is a ghost" thing is starting to wear on me pretty heavily. There are much better shows out there.
Problem with this show for me is that it's so inconsistent. A few episodes are great, some are just OK and others are lousy to unwatchable. The rubbish episodes outweigh the few good ones by a considerable margin,
Getting worse every season, last few season were really bad....
Don't understand what all the fuss is about.
It's boring, not creepy, not scary
One of the few shows I couldn't finish watching because they were just too boring to watch
Someone has to say it: this show is terrible. Seriously, is the worse. It is barely american, surely is not horror, and has not story at all.
Every season is a bad mix of common fears, bad written characters, inconsistent plot, and every season is culminating in a absolutely "WTF?" finale, where all the elements used become suddendly useless. "Roanoke" and "Cult" were the best written, but still instead of create something truly scary and admonishing, writers prefer to dissolve everything in an useless, non-catharthic, not scary at at all nonsense ending.
Actors are pretty good, expecially Jessica Lange and Kathy Bathes, and surprisingly Lady Gaga is not bad at all. Photography is interesting, curated and harmonious, but that's all. AHS is a show of appearance, with no substance at all.
Finally I said it.
I think it's something you like or you don't. And I don't like it. Uaah scary...
The most boring, uncreative and trite excuse for "horror" I've ever seen. All this show does is write in things that are supposed to be "shocking" and "disturbing", and simply rests on this lazy formula of doing things that might potentially upset a person.
Imo, that's not good writing. It's just emotionally manipulative trash - there was so much good horror back in the 80's. Idk why this is the kind of stuff we get now
Hate season 3. Makes me feel quite sick. Enjoyed season 1.
When u see a Kardashian you know it's gonna be trash. Why won't we just let it die already? Last 6 seasons is just weirdness for the sake of weirdness and the WOKENESS is rising season by season. It hasn't been i teresting since the Coven Season 3 or sth. LET IT DIE!!! RATE S12: 1/10
I really don't understand the appeal of this show. I made it through the first couple of seasons (barely). There were some good moments, but overall it is pretty mediocre. Then this season started and I couldn't make it past the third episode. What an awful show.
Truly great show.
Each season brings a stellar cast back each year and brings all characters together in season 8 “Apocalypse”. Even Stevie Knicks from ’Fleetwood Mac’ fame as the White-Witch.
Has produced some truly amazing actors and legends such as Jessica Lange’s prior roles’ just pale given what she does in AHS.
Cannot recommend enough. If your a new viewer i highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND starting at s1 and working your way up-to the latest season...the now airing AHS 1984.
Shades of “Fri 13th” being set among a 1984 Summer Camp and tiny spoiler coming-up...not one, but two Serial killers are on the loose.
One is indeed “The Night Stalker” himself.
Superb show. 10/10
Best season was coven by a country mile, hotel was the worst, we need Jessica Lange back!
Pretty crazy how the first episode of this season (season 6) is an exact copy of the format, shooting style, and writing style of My Haunted House (on LMN). They straight ripped that show to a tee. A bit disappointing if you ask me.
I'm under the impression this is just a one-season show. I've become a bit disappointed with the later episodes. It's become too surreal for me to genuinely fear anything that's happening.
Holy smokes, season 10 is a boring, clichéd, predictable cringefest. Sorry not sorry, it's bloody awful. Can't wait for every episode to end already, feeling like I'm wasting time watching it. Twisted the vampire theme a little too much and it just snapped, I think, not that repeating it in the first place was a good idea.

Completely in love with American Horror Story, again! My favourite show to date.
