It's hard no to like this. Harris is perfect as Moriarty, easily on of my "favourite" villains on fiction. It's the characters that drive this movie and the actors are doing a splendid job and Ritchies direction and visual style is also on point. The slowmotion scenes are so cool but the chase in the woods are some of my favorittes in cinema.
What dis? THE G.O.AT. THAT’S WHAT DIS SHIT IS!!!
Definitely my favorite of the 2 films. A joy to watch and re-watch many times. Every character does an amazing job but Moriarty (Jared Harris) and Mycroft (Stephen Fry) stand out as exceptional.
The movie is very great but iron man in the final scence was dead so i am upset about this
Sherlock becomes a global superhero saving the world? Almost ... soon it will be part of DC or Marvel probably… ;> Too much action, too less real detective story.
I could not even force myself to watch this cheesy flick all the way through. Robert, you let me down buddy.
First class follow up with an excellent arch nemesis in Moriarty.
The End? I hope there is a new adventure in the near future.
This was a completely forgettable movie which was surprising as I liked the first film and I am a fan of Ritchie. Imagine the first film mixed with Snatch. I never did watch the last 10 minutes as it got really goofy.

"A Game of Shadows" is a stylish, fast-paced, yet comedic adventure which improves upon its predecessor in several aspects, and surely a highly recommended film.
Because I liked the first Sherlock Holmes movie quite much, I decided to give this sequel a chance. And I didn't regret it: it is funny and offers a lot of action. Also ,Downey Jr. as the brilliant but bat-ass crazy Holmes works well again.
However, the fresh style (e.g. those signature glimpses into the immediate future by Holmes, who can predict what his opponents are going to do before they are actually doing it) that accompanied the first movie, is nothing new this turn around. Also I didn't like the plot too much. I cannot put the finger down on why that is exactly, but I never felt 100% intrigued by it.
So all this leaves an enjoyable 2 hours watch but nothing more IMHO.
many scene you can expected
Buy it: great acting and story. Great visual of the time period you will re-watch over again.
I liked the movie but I'm totally disappointed with what they did to Irene.
There is only one thing I can say: Robert = Sherlock. He is a great actor and I love how he portrays him. Also, credits for Jude Law. He is a good sidekick!
This film is pretty much on par with how good the first film was, although I liked this one slightly more. Really enjoyed it and is one of the few sequels that actually matched the quality of the first film.
Also pleased to hear that the 3rd film is in the works so I have to say I really look forward to that. 8/10. Great film. If you liked the first film then you'll enjoy this one just as much, if not more (at least in my case).
I enjoyed the first one a little bit more but this was equally fun to watch!
All of the great things from the first film remained but I felt like something was missing but I can't say exactly what. Maybe some loose ends about the villian, things that I would like to see more explored. Apart from that, it was interesting to see more about Watson but never overshadowing Holmes.
Holmes and Watson continue to deliver their charms and cleverness due to the amazing chemistry between Downey Jr. and Law. Noomi Rapace was a great addition to the cast and it was fun to see Stephen Fry.
I'm looking forward for a sequel if there will be one.
Better than the Firs! Big Fan of Sherly!
Excellent! Worth a watch!
Inane dribble. Utterly pointless. Unintelligible narrative. Avoid at any cost.
i was the opposite, loved the first movie and completely lost interest with the sequel, first time I saw it i stopped it 3/4 of the way through..
now that was better i much preferred the sequel
As sequels go, this is a good one. The interaction between Holmes and Watson is still the highlight of the film, though the story could have used a bit more work. The visuals are stunning as usuall...
Switched this off after about 40-50 mins due to boredom.
Bleh.
very good sequel :)
It was good, I liked it.
Quite enjoyable but not as good as the first one, I still don't like how they are portraying Sherlock Holmes' character & it gets boring at some points but over all it's a fun movie to sit through & I agree with holy_fire I think the last 20 min is so much better than the rest of the movie.
suffers a bit from sequel-syndrome (bigger, louder, faster) but overall quite enjoyable and for the last twenty minutes it is as good as the first one.
The break down / analysis of each of the fight scenes is just SO COOL!
WHY IS ROBERT DOWNEY JR SO AWESOME?
It bored the hell out of me.
just saw it. very worthy successor :)

Sherlock Holmes is back in an all new adventure, and what an adventure. In Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Holmes battles against the infamous Professor Moriarty; played exceptionally well by Jared Harris. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law also give excellent performances, and appear to be more comfortable in their roles this time. The directing style of Guy Ritchie has also improved, giving the film a more fluid and steady pace. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a fun and exciting thriller that exceeds the first film on every level.
