with so many negative reviews i wasn't expecting much of it.maybe that´s why it was a big surprise. its not a comedy masterpiece, but it mad me laugh a few times and i liked the chemistry between them. i guess this can be called a guilty pleasure for me.
I Actually liked it, it was not the best comedy ever made but at least is a good movie to laugh when you don't have anything else to do.
Thought the film was pretty mediocre considering I have so much love for Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell. Although they make a great comedic duo, Get Hard was predictable at the best of times and the only real funny moments of the film can be seen in the trailer for the movie anyway. I thought the ending was pretty disappointing too considering all the build up.
I gave it a 5, because I have no other word but meh to describe it. Not the worst film I've ever seen but definitely no way near the best.
I don't like comedies anymore.
If you like the Will Ferrell or Kevin Hart comedy formula, then this is for you! It does exactly what these two ALWAYS do for better and worse. I’m not the biggest fan, and that’s okay. I still had plenty of chuckles and I am sure others will appreciate it way more!

With movies like Get Hard and Identity Thief, you actually don’t expect them to be watchable. With all the bad reviews, then you wind up laughing a lot.
I doubt this movie would be allowed to be made these days. Since a lot of it can be pretty racist. In a lighthearted sort of way people would still get offended.
Well, I gave 6 points because not very good movie but enough to spend 2 hours. With not much expectation, you can watch it.
Its a really good movie and funny
I felt more awkward, "please let's fast forward through this", second-hand embarrassment than any real desire to laugh.
Watched this and laughed hard, its childish puerile and stupid yes but really like the two main stars who pulled the movie through.... seen a lot worse!

I don't understand some of the negative reviews to be honest, if you like both actors and want a little laugh then this is the film to watch.. its not the best film in the world but its also a film you wont regret watching.

Well, to be honest it was quite fun. I was thinking like 3-5 times to start watching it and finally I decided to watch it. I am happy that the movie didn't dissapoint me.
I'm a huge Will Ferrel fan and all, BUT in this movie its like he's trying too hard... Literally all the funny parts are in the trailer.. The rest are just jokes that fall flat...
Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart team up in this culture-clash buddy comedy. Ferrell plays a wealthy financier sentenced to prison for fraud. He seeks Hart’s help to prepare him for prison, only Hart’s character has never actually been incarcerated.
So a rich clueless white person meets a struggling but sassy black person and boom we have a film. It’s hilarious because they are different. See we’re supposed to think the black guy is a criminal but he isn’t! Edgy stuff!
Perhaps this is a bit harsh, not everything has to be ‘edgy’. However, when you are trying to reverse tropes and make jokes about people’s prejudices, it’s important to be ‘funny’. This is not a foreign concept to Ferrell and Hart, both actors have a hilarious back catalogue but sadly Get Hard is no Anchorman.
The film has the sense of humour of a thirteen year old boy, with the majority of punchlines being “bum sex is funny”.
This sort of irreverence can be entertaining (see the recent Jump Street reboot) but here it’s tiresome and repetitive. Coen is trying to make us think this has come from a ‘warped’ comedic mind, when actually it feels more like it’s the product of a board meeting trying to drum up ‘offensive’ jokes that won’t hurt box office takings.
The biggest crime, as with all films of this genre, is that it bores the audience. Within five minutes we know where the film is going, so unless something good happens it’s already a write-off. Nothing good happens.
Get Hard is another bland, hackneyed effort from Hollywood; a waste of time and talent.

Where to start? The plot is ridiculously thin, dare I say non-existent. The ending is predictable, and makes no attempt at a big reveal. The one liners are hit or miss with most missing the mark. I had a few laughs while watching but not enough to justify sitting through the entire movie. Some of the jokes are even uncomfortable to hear. There's the normal crude humor but not an overbearing amount, not enough to make me stop watching. The performances of Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart were standard at best. They have some comic chemistry but not enough to forgive the poorly written script. This entire movie just seems to be an excuse to cast Ferrell and Hart in a movie together. If you're a huge fan of Kevin Hart or Will Ferrell's brand of comedy, this may be worth a watch. Otherwise just skip this one.

A few chuckles here and there but nothing more than that. I expected more from Ferrell & Hart.
So profoundly unfunny I could hardly believe it.
Rent it: not as good as the other works by the actors involved.

It's a fun movie, a humor on the right level with some strong and funny jokes. Some part of the script requires the famous good faith of the viewer to believe that this could happen in real life. Performances ok, a good late-night comedy.
