Despite the film having many predictable moments; it's one of the better films both the Rock and Kevin Hart have done. I actually prefer Hart more restrained and less hyper. That's when you can tell there's some talent there. While the Rock's Bob Stone is probably one of the most huggable characters since John Candy in Planes Trains and Automobiles. Meaning you just can't help feeling sorry for what the guy went through as a teenager. As an action film; Central Intelligence is cliche and you see the twists coming a mile away. The movie works better as a bully movie. The charm in the film is Calvin (Kevin Hart) being the only guy who was ever nice to Bob (The Rock) in High School. Which leads Bob there when Calvin needs encouragement that his life now isn't that bad.
