Even considering it's a science fiction, it's still a bitwork naïve to think humans would give 2 f's about some aliens less than 4 light-years that will arrive in 400 years!!!! We're living an existential crisis, in an ongoing mass extinction and in less than half that time we'll be in deep trouble if we don't start making significant changes to how we impact the planet....and we can't even agree that this is a fact and we're are already in a downwards' path
