American Underdog 2021

Film 50 (Goal: 300) of 2024

I seem to be in the minority but I loved this. The football scenes are fantastic, though they are limited. And while the film is heavy on the off the field scenes, I was drawn to the struggle of Kurt Warner. I've always like Zachary Levi, and while he doesn't have anything immense to work with, he does very well in the role. Dennis Quaid's appearance is very limited but he brings added life to his portions of the film. Chance Kelly also stood out, but it feels his story with Warner is missing a pivotal scene or two.

Overall as we lead up to another Superbowl, this was excellent viewing.
