13 years later, I still think that hit Robert harder than Ned suggesting they'd be no better than the Mad King for going through with it.
The Mad King comparison definitely got Robert's attention/ire, but I think hearing "the Robert I grew up with didn't tremble at the shadow of an unborn child" come out of his oldest friend's/closet ally's mouth hit so much harder than anything anyone in Robert's life could say.
That's one of those "aiming for the heart of that person's soul" truth bombs.
