Again, this serial had a fine if by the numbers plot (largely recycling the first Daleks plot, now that I think of it), told with innovative production design and inventive staging within the budgetary limitations. The cast was kept busy with good individual threads and some fine guest performers. The big problem is that they made this 6 episodes. Even at 4, it would have felt a little dragged out. Give it the punchy 2 of The Rescue, and you'd have a classic. As it is, it vastly overstays its welcome.
