Suits

Season 4

Was mixed on this season. At this point, I've watched enough of the show for me to care about the characters so I am easily invested and enjoy my time, but the first half of this season was somewhat underwhelming. I was excited for the change of pace with Mike at a new job, and I credit the show for keeping things fresh, but Mike was just no unlikable for half of this season that it was hard to watch. Fighting with Harvey all of the time added a new dynamic but it also got old really quick. The second main arc of the season is Louis' villain arc, and this I loved. Finally giving Louis the main character status for a few episodes, which he totally deserves. He's always been the most compelling character for me and this season showed it. The Donna stuff was ok, at this point we know when stakes are introduced no lasting or serious consequences will come of it. The finale came out of nowhere and they rushed it, probably the least compelling finale yet. I did like the Mike and Rachel moment, but Donna and Harvey came out of nowhere. So overall, this season will be remembered for Mike trying to live a different life but realizing that he just wants to be a lawyer and is willing to take the risk, Louis figuring out about Mike and scheming his way to name partner, and some decent character relationships. I actually think the balance of the characters was perhaps the best yet, but only one story arc out of the 3 or 4 main ones stood out to me and this is my least favorite season overall so far.

6.2/10 -- Decent
