Barry: Season 3

3x01 forgiving jeff

Were viewers supposed to like the character of Sally at some point in this show? I know she has the history of abuse and, to her credit, wanted to use it to bring something real to the acting class, but she has seemed self-absorbed through much of the show. In at least a couple instances when Barry was either talking to her or she was supposed to be helping him with his lines, she interrupts and starts talking about her self. She asked, more like compelled, Barry to go with her to a meeting for support at one point, even though Barry said he said he had something to do multiple times, and she just seems lost in her own world in general. And this just seems to get ramped up in this episode when she's working on a real show. She was downright mean to Natalie after a meeting with a network exec, telling her not to talk during meetings and that Natalie should go back her a snack.

In any case, otherwise, this was another compelling episode, and I love the scenes between Barry and Cousineau at the end.
