Anakin goes further towards the dark side by becoming more of a whiny, jealous, paranoid mess. He has dreams of Padme dying and thinks only the Chancellor who he suspects is a powerful Sith, can help her. While the screenplay is so weak that it forgets that Yoda and Obi-Wan shouldn't be so clueless about Anakin and Padme. Especially since Padme did kiss Anakin during the arena fight in Episode 2 in front of every Jedi. What makes Episode 3 work is all the great light saber duels. As well as the evil performance by Ian McDiarmid. Although I would have to say that Anakin vs Obi-Wan is a bit of let down in the end. The fight is a bit overdone and not as good or fun as Yoda vs the Emperor.
