@theavereviewer i guess maybe since principles and a code of honor are important to him (he's upset the family breaks them constantly) he still can't bring himself to break his own familial loyalty since then he thinks he'd be as bad as them? not sure.

Amazing episode. Things are starting to come together really well.
I struggle to under Ewan's decision, even though he referenced it in an earlier episode - "...he's still my brother". Based on everything that has happened since, I just can't buy it.
