I remember a comment from last season that Elizabeth was the least interesting character. And I have to disagree as for me that was always Philip. I felt every time he was on screen he was just using up space. That changed somewhat with this episode. While in the first half of the episode I still found him rather uninteresting, from the moment he decided to turn the ship around he got another layer. He wasn't thinking about himself. Question is, for how long. The beginning of episode one already showed us there are still problems.
