"Addams Family Values" is an improvement over the first film. The predecessor's strengths remain, while the flaws are less noticeable. Above all, the cast remains excellent, with Joan Cusack a welcome addition. Furthermore, Christina Ricci's Wednesday is given more to do as part of a summer camp storyline, which works brilliantly. Only Christopher Lloyd's performance as Fester didn't work for me once again. Meanwhile, the plot is the most significant improvement over the first installment. This time, there is no boredom. Almost every character is given a meaningful task, and their problems are clearly defined. The humor is also much more effective. It's a pity that the film series ended with this second installment.
