The first solo appearance of the Black Panther has all the hallmarks of a good Marvel film. In addition to the great cast, the interesting story, unique look, and great score stand out. Chadwick Boseman will be sorely missed. He really put his stamp on the role of King T'Challa here. With Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), "Black Panther" also has perhaps the best villain in the entire MCU. This time around, the typical Marvel humor is less dominant, which is quite refreshing. However, there are some flaws, most notably the dreadful CGI in the finale. The run time is also a bit bloated. However, this only slightly spoils the good overall impression.
