Star Wars: Andor 2022

I just watched the 7th episode. Uninteresting characters, endless boring dialogs, no action whatsoever, the protagonist is arrested out of the blue and put to prison for 6 years, for what exactly?? For just happening to be there. Ok, i am not buying whatever you are serving Disney, if you don't have to say something new to Starwars fans, please don't make yet another Starwars serial, just for the sake of it.

@droutis The entire point of Andor getting arrested without doing anything is because this is the sort of thing that empire does. His whole arc is about him thinking that he can just find a place and lay low and not get into any trouble, but that place cannot exist under empire, everyone is at its mercy. And he's suffering from a longer sentence exactly because of the heist he helped participate in.

This show is saying more new things than Star Wars ever has before. All these boring Disney Star Wars products (and to be fair, lots of older Star Wars works too) view the Empire as exaggerated bad guys, stormtroopers as a joke, etc., while Andor actually shows what these forces would be like in reality. Empire can't exist without boring bureaucracy, fascism can't thrive without sniveling bootlickers like Karn, and on the other hand, becoming radicalized to a rebellion/revolution is difficult and tense and requires risk.

It's just...this is the most thrilling Star Wars has been in...quite some time. I'm on the edge of my seat every episode! I just can't fathom how people can watch this show and not be thrilled with the delicious spy thriller tension! If all you want is lasers and explosions, go watch all the other Star Wars shows...but also Andor delivers on the lasers and explosions too! The dramatic climaxes of episode 3 and 6 are huge thrilling action setpieces! I don't know what more people want...

@theheatandthedark although you may have a point, the simple truth is that this show is too sloooowww and boring, and it fails to keep you interested long enough. Personally i prefer the Mandalorian, this is something indeed original that moves the Starwars universe in the correct direction.
