@nyhtf I think you missed the point. It wasn't about all men being bad and all women good. Cassie's highschool friend was a real piece of sh*t who looked purposely the other way. Same for the Dean of their school. The lawyer had real regret for what he'd done. This story is about how a crucial horrific moment turns the lives of two women around and how people easily look the other way to save their own skin. It's about not being able to let go.
