The Rookie is a really good police series! Towards the season 3, the series try to integrate in the story the real life events of BLM and the death of George Floyd but without acknowledging them specifically in canon - but still making them feel relevant and I think that it does a good job of commenting about crime brutality and police defunding whislt being fair with both sides and without compromising the plot. Overall, it does a fine job with the plot and the characters. I WAS expecting to be a little bit more of a comedy since it has Nathan Fillion as a lead, but it is really not. But it does a fine job of being an entretaining series.
