This whole episode just felt yucky. Everything is so contrived and soulless now :,( Last season was a great return with some flaws but this is just downright bad now. Keith Carradine deserved way better material, Morgan’s detached “I’m sorry John” while the man gets eaten alive. Granted, how could we even describe John Sr. - his character flip flopped in the weirdest ways to fit the plot, he had all the fixings to be that extension of Dorrie Jr. we needed to get knee that tough death but he just ended up being a waste really. I can sometimes visibly see the pain in the actors’ eyes as they try to convince the audience of these forced plot lines. Strand has become a complete caricature of the person he was from the earlier seasons. The completely washed Howard
