I’m really not convinced this truly falls under the “comedy” genre. Whilst it’s an utterly brilliant movie with some very amusing undertones, the sick and dark truth about these people that still exist today is far too real. Absolutely sterling performances from Washington and Driver. A brilliant portrayal all round of the troubles in America revolving around all forms of hate.
All in all, racism has played a big part in American history for an incredibly long time, and whilst yes it’s getting better, it’s not where it needs to be yet. Essentially, this shit has to stop immediately.
