So predictable as to be laughable. The dream/vacation/VR aspects make no sense. Why does time pass in both worlds without continuity? In a dream, continuity may be broken, but it doesn't matter. You still know what you need to know and can do the things you need to do, even if you don't really know. In a VR simulation, you would just pick up from when you logged out. Who wants a VR simulation where every time you start it you have no clue what has transpired? And in either case, who would require a device to exit back to the real world? That is just stupid. If you need to exit for any reason, you should be able to do it at any time. Also, someone should be able to pull you out by just turning the device off. There would be no sudden death by just unhooking the device. Confusion, sure. But that would be it. We don't die when our brain switches gears when were are awaken from a dream. The real world would just be able to wake you up by turning the device off.

Definitely more sci-fi than actual s.f. as all of Dick's stories were. This story is really a disgrace to his name.

The writers were trying really hard to make that square peg fit the round hole... this is just not a good episode. Too bad too since I love the actors.
