Hacksaw Ridge 2016

An incredibly moving, exhilerating and engaging film, with amazing set-pieces, impeccable direction and staggering performances, perfectly portraying the gritty reality of war and the importance of staying true to oneself.

The plot progresses in an effective manner, giving the viewers time to relate to the character, which helps make the film and it's story much more impactful and engaging.

The gritty and violent action set pieces, which are discomforting at times, felt authentic and perfectly portrayed the brutality and ferocity of war.

The film also sheds light on the psychological affect of war on the ones that are involved, portraying a tragic reality of many homes.

Lastly, the film wouldn't have been as engaging and entertaining, had it not been for Andrew Garfield's incredible portrayal of the hero, Desmond Doss.
