@player8472 Things evolve, Star Trek TOS, TNG, VOY, DS9 are old and crappy to 2 generations of human. You don't have to watch new shows, stay in your happy place....
@psymann Yes, this looks like it evolves into something for 8-12 year olds though.
And if the Brand is old and crappy to the target audience, why use the IP in the first place?
No idea why you critique me though, since if your view-progress (and I assume that its accurate since you are scobbling your progress in this very moment) is accurate, you gave up on the shows I critique way before I did.
@player8472 you rate the show based on a title sequence? That's pretty shallow imo. I think there's a place for all Star Trek - and the title sequence for this is actually pretty cool. it's very Trek - the epic music, the ship, space. What do you expect? I've watched most of them from TOS up until Enterprise (working on that now), also watched LD.
Even though this was aimed at kids, it's still a great story. Kind of too bad if people dont give it a chance. They really get in to the main story mid way through. It's not as episodic as previous Treks, but that's fine. The cameos alone are awesome
@psymann i dont think that's a reason this is good. It's just a great entry point into Trek. I'm not sure why you think younger generations are that dumb. I wasn't even around when some of those came out and was too young when the others aired. They still became favorites. The only one I usually get annoyed with this TOS and the blatant sexism - but it's still good at the end of the day
