You know I get the whole diversity thing and them wanting to show deaf people on the show, but lets get real for a minute. If this were real, common sense would tell us that all deaf people would die very quickly at the beginning if they were trying to live among walkers. It would be the same for people who are blind and for many physically handicapped people as well. So having these deaf people on here is completely tv like (nothing real about it) and would not happen if this was at all real.

@terpar I see what you're saying, but I kind of disagree. Maybe many of them would be disadvantaged, but if they're in a group from the onset and learn to survive, they could very well survive - Connie apparently always had her sister, and presumably more people until they met with the others. Pretty much all of that group are all adept at surviving (with Yumiko, Kelly and Connie herself being great with range weapons). She may be deaf, but she can see, and certainly makes it count - if surviving is the only alternative, you survive.
