I'm not sure what some people were expecting from this Masters of the Universe re-boot. The clue should be in the fact it's no longer called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Overall the story was very well thought out. It gave respect to the original characters and provided a good stepping off point for further adventures of the Eternians.
I was 3 years old when the original series began and watched it religiously, I was the key demographic after all. I'm not sure why people feel we need a carbon copy of the original series for it to be a success.
Nice one Kevin Smith et al!
My only small gripe is there was no rotoscoped animation, that would have been a nice stylistic touch.
