Good episode but i often hate dumb decisions like the one near the end, where they gave themselves up to be cannibalized. When Gwen could have shot the two cannibals even though Owen might have died, but she would beaten them and helped to rescue the others. Liked the badass Jack rescue at the end and his torture tactic. She let him whisper in her ear, when he could have bitten it off because he's a dangerous psychopath. Ok. I guess it adds more to the drama...
Gwen should have broke up with Rhys at the end, not slept with Owen, or at least done it afterwards. Being an adulterer doesn't make you likeable... I hate when they make main characters in shows unlikable. I don't like Owen either because of his behavior in engaging in the adultery, but at least he isn't with another person himself. Still unlikable but better than Gwen. I don't like how he's wrote Tosh to like Owen either. A love triangle, really.
I don't understand why you make characters like these so unlikable with behaviors like adultery. It polarizes the fanbase. So many fans don't like Gwen and Owen and especially Gwen for their behavior in the adultery. Why do that. Why turn your fanbase off like that with most of them not liking the characters. And especially turning off casual viewers too. It's so incredibly dumb, and the problem has persisted over a decade with the fanbase in large part still not liking Gwen because of her actions.
