This episode was worth the wait. It had the right amount of tension and action. The only downside to it was that it felt like it all went a little too easy? Beta lost his marbles, for sure, but he went down so quickly and I was really hoping for an epic one on one fight between him and Negan. The way he died though, with that smile on his face, was eerily good. As one of those people who hadn't heard about the spin-off for Carol and Daryl, I truly believed she was going to jump. I love Carol... she is extremely flawed and yet so incredibly strong, so naturally I wanted her to survive but I also embraced her fate in that moment giving the fact of her way way way earlier demise in the comics. I also never thought I'd be so happy to see Maggie. Seeing her made me feel nostalgic and it was fitting that she came to help. Only thing is, I wish she hadn't saved Gabriel. It was a season finale and expected someone to die, someone of meaning. One of the strengths of the show has always been that at any given time a major character can die. So with everyone still around by the end of the episode it felt as I said in the beginning... too easy.
