The series is great, I don't think I have ever cared so much about a set of characters on a show. The depth of personality and their personal struggles with how to manage self & family, the inter-connectedness and caring of the group for one another. They are cast in their roles as people with specific jobs but the series trancends that and makes you care for their person-hood not just identify with their exciting jobs.
I guess I make it sound overly touchy freely, it's not, don't shy away from this series... I simply mean to say that the plot is so incredible it's a given to watch it. It's the character development that needs praise. Season two... wow! The series starts off a bit like an adventure a week kind of romp but it starts doing season long archs. It's just such a great series and it really makes you care about what is happening to the characters, which for me is rare! There is one seen from one episode that I think will be burned in my memory till the day I day, Incredible.
