Blade Runner 1982

Can somebody explain to me why is this movie so famous. ??? I'm a true scifi lover and i have red the book that inspired the movie. So I believe I understand the story clearly enough. And still I could not say that i liked it. It is slow and overly dramatic with a dull ending. Am i right? or am I missing something?

Its a rare cyberpunk / detective story with a great experience of that universe.
Not mentioned Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, who both where pretty popular back in them days.

I personally love it, because of the unique pattern of story telling and its visualization that didn't require a lot of action scenes as filler. More importantly, a movie that is not focused on the storyline alone but also the character and its universe. For that part however you need to be able to immerse yourself.

In short its a matter of taste and you need to be immersed :)

The version you watch makes a difference too. So many cuts (7, but not all were commercially released) but "The Final Cut" is the only one that Ridley Scott has full control over
